Has anyone every been awarded a ribbon durning gameplay or do they just show up randomly in your stats?

Some like the armor and helo ribbon show up in-game, all medals and the army service ribbons don't.

haha is it just me or does that link not go where it says it goes? haha

and ive had all my ribbons, including the service ones awarded in game to me. but then again i think ive only gotten 1 service ribbon, i cant really remember

they just show up in your stats, you dont get them ingame.

I was kinda curious about this myself, I swear Ive earned the Aerial Service Ribbon 4 or 5 times over, but never pops up in game or shows up.

All service ribbons (Spetz,SAS,MECsf, SEALs, Rebel & Insurgent) show up in the HQ,
Vehicle ribbons (Driver,Tank,Helicopter) show up during the game.
