Properly run Communism, please. Without the totalitarian State and wanton avarice that comes with humanity...I'd much prefer Lenin's Communism proper.

What Marco said. We have yet to see Communism run the way it's supposed to be. Somewhere along the way someone always gets power-hungry and refuses to relinquish power.
Little genetic engineering here and there and Communism becomes feasible.

Facism for me, why not get it out of the way straight off? Communist states often turn to facism, in one form or another, and communism won't work; never will. The problem with communism is that as soon as you add human nature to the formula everything starts to go wrong. You'll never get past peoples' natural urges to accumulate money/power/bitches etc and communism can't work under that social mentality.

Poor set of choices. Communism, although theoretically a system in which the workers own the means of production and property is communal, in practice requires a police state to maintain it, because it is human nature to accrue property unto oneself. Fascism is explicitly nationalist and statist, and implicitly market oriented, but in practice (specifically in Nazi Germany) there were a great many socialist aspects, and government control over whole industries. In the end, both cases must become totalitarian regimes which will exert an heavy hand in any aspect of life they deem is necessary for the survival of 'the state.'
One could argue that the quality of life of most citizens (i.e. those who weren't murdered by the regime) under Italian and German Fascists was probably better than that under Russian or Chinese Communists (either of which murdered even more of their citizens than all the Fascist regimes did combined), but that was hardly assured, and those citizens who were murdered would probably disagree, given the chance. In the end, I don't see a thimble-full of difference between them, as in practice both types of state degenerate; maintaining the supremacy of the ruling party becomes more important than any pretense of principle in either case.

everything about fascism that I can dig up just centers on the administration and political aspects, which is, for all intents and purposes identical to communism, however, if I remember correctly, as practiced under Mussolini, private ownership was still allowed, even if you had to produce what the government told you, it was still your factory, like Beretta for instance, so I suppose I'm leaning toward that

for an example, a free market society can ( unfortunately) support elements of communism like socialized health care, but the first time someone talks of getting rewarded for working harder than "average" communism and the like immediately crumble

Incidently, tea, when properly made, is purported to contain a shitload of antioxidants. Antioxidants just happen to be really good for preventing cancer...I believe putting milk in your tea spoils it however. Although if you already have cancer it probably won't help so much.PspRpg-7 wrote:

Marxist Communism does work, it's only flaw is that it leaves the way open for someone to take absoloute power, which so far in history, has always happened.
It's more or less a Utopian ideology, which means it relys on all people living in harmony etc. Everyone knows human nature is too fucked for that to ever work.
