All this is completely subjective and while i can see that a piss poor sniper is as much use as a box of matches with no kids to play with em, so is every other kit in the hands of someone that is piss poor. THEY ARE PISS POOR - they would also be piss poor as support (aka hey i need ammo - insert dumbass blank face here as he runs off into the arty zone).
It only grates on you more that they do not do enough in the way of teamwork - Muphys law #1 teamwork is good because it is giving the enemy someone else to shoot at...
To be honest though, i think they are better out of harms reach going 1 - 5 ( i know in alot of cases the 1 is generous) as thats a far less painfull ticket loss than some prat going 4-20 and going OOOOOHHHHH A MEDAL as any other kit..... (no harm meant by this we all have stinkers from time to time - i once got killed 3 times in a row..... and maybee 11 on my main account but that dont count coz... well jus coz... )
And YES damnit Entertainer i am unappreciated! - i signed up for the sniper thing and someone bloody deleted me!

A good group of snipers can halt infantry movement, destroy enemy choppers, and sight enemy troop movements.
Unfortunately a good group of snipers is hard to come by.
Its unfortunate that so many teamkilling, claymore spamming noobs give snipers a bad name.

Sure, some snipers are of no use to the team, but the same is true of players who go support, spec ops, medic, assault, engineer and AT. It's a meaningless diatribe worthy of being shown to be nonsense.

See what's the point of posting up all these scoresheets? It doesn't say shit unless someone ELSE plays with you ingame constantly, and KNOWS you're a good sniper. A testimonial from a mate is worth 10000x of these worthless screenies of the scoresheets IMHO.
As far as I'm concerned, the only place a sniper is good for is 1. Dead, 2. In the cockpit of a plane.

What we should do maybe is ask these guys to post screenies of their top scores on foot playing assault for comparison, that's about the only class worth comparing snipers to since we can be considered a form of assault troop, with slower-firing weapons but claymores to compensate and no body armour.

It proves conclusively that someone using the sniper kit can outperform the automatic-weapon-wielding field around them; that's all it needs to say really. Okay, humble? Anyway... you want a testimonial, ya got one: I was playing on one of TV2's Sharqi servers with Clean.Sweap last night and he was one of the top scorers while playing sniper. The team he was on won six games out of seven.polarbearz wrote:

As you see , no vehicle usage at all . Pure SVD + 5 claymore kills and 2 pistol
