The first one i got was on purpose. It was back when i was a PFC and i drove a dpv into a lake like 20 times in a row so i could get it. The second time i was just having a really bad game. When it popped up, i flipped out and quit before i got too angry.

I wanted mine on purpose too when i found out that the medal was bad, i was pissed off, so really i dont have a purple heart if i didnt aim for it when i started playing

I got mine learning not to be persistent about hopping into the chopper when you're getting tv'd everytime you go near it In my defense the enemy pilot was extremely good. http://bf2s.com/player/63362143/ solo chopper ftw.

thanks guys...thats my 2nd purple heart...I slightly broke my keyboard in frustration. My first purple heart was on purpose, but this one was out of sucking badly.
edit: Now I know how it feels to really be bad at bf2.
edit 2: on a more positive note, I came back on Wake Island and got 80 points whoring the tank and got gold star(when you say I got a gold star it makes you feel like a 1st grader)
