I would not be surprised if this were true. Its these guys jobs to think of such things whether they actually intend to do it or not. Besides, it is inevitable that China will rule the West in the next 50 years, whether it be economically or militarily.

Japan thought the same thing before WWII and decided the war in Europe was a good enough smoke screen to attack the U.S. Well now its China and instead of war in Europe its the middle east.

Even if this speech is just bullshit on the net, I have no doubt in my mind that this has already been looked at as a scenario by the Chinese government.

However, the whole "we are a superior race" makes me a tad bit embarrased to be somewhat chinese.

Well we're not even sure if they ARE developing bio-weapons, but if they were, the answer to your question is because, as Bush puts it, "The terrorists hate our freedom."

Remember, this so called 'Freedom' is more important than being wiped out by genetic weapons.

let me put it this way. in the past 10 years china has been stockpiling numerous tanks and aircraft such as T-80s,T-90s, MiG-27s and MiG-30s from their neighbors to the north Mother Russia, they have been developing new technologies for war. they also have 24 ICBMs with a 13,000 kilometer range. these guys also have a trained army of 300 million i think if they got into the US with that many soldiers we would be wiped out.

I think they would have a hard time making across the pacific, though, and a huge population doesn't do any good if it's on the bottom of the ocean, I'm sure Hugo Chavez would try to help out but even going down there they would have to make it past the Pac fleet and ANZAC, but I'm not sure that the US and Canada would be able to cover Japan very well, which sucks, cuz I think that the Japs are one of our most under appreciated allies

though it seems contradictory, naval power now in the modern era means air superiority, US carrier fleets now can practically turn entire time zones into sovereign NATO air space, and air superiority in turn means ground superiority, though little ground would be gained if any on a land invasion in China, I don't believe it would be quite so one sided as that......

I also think anzac would probably get a fair amount of backup from India (even if India is attacked by land, they would have a vested interest in protecting their waters in the SOPAC) and quite a few middle east and african countries, EU forces would take a while to get through the Suez, but China and North Korea would have a hard fight for it, actually now that I think of it, a China/NK alliance would probably work in our favor, in that China would have to waste assloads of resources protecting lil Kim from his own ineptitude

edit: this is making me want to bust out Sid Meiers Civ III, IV sucks, but the first three were pretty kickass
