I have been trying to figure out how to fly, but to no avail........is there a guide on how to fly? Or can anyone offer any help?
You've got to flap your arms at a high rate of speed, but you also must have an extreme amount of muscle mass on your chest. If you're into the virtual thing.. I heard LSD does wonders.IvysDad wrote:

Seriously.. search the BF2 help forums..
I have tried the search but come up empty.....and LSD doesn't help. Arms get tired before I can load up other team members to transport.
use these search terms: fly* AND heli* OR plane
That brings up a few.

Also, try posting things that pertain to battlefield 2 the video game in the appropriate section...

When you are co-pilot in a bomber, how do you target and shoot? When I go to camera mode I never hit anything. Do I need to wait for a lock?
I'm not much good at flying meself but the word 'practice' comes to mind. I learnt on m/player and yes, I crashed and burned a few times and unfortunately took a couple of my team8s with me (sorry, to all those, peace!).
Do what I didn't, and should've, practice in S/player mode. I don't have a joystick and have adapted to using the keyboard and mouse. Probably not the easiest to use, but you make do.

If you rather go practice in mp to get those basic's down i say go for it. Just give ppls a head upp, make a "danger, danger" macro or somthing

If in cam mode you can see an enemy vehicle long enough, you will lock, then you can fire. If you're a reasonable distance away, it'll probably hit. However, if your pilot can afford to fly in a relatively straight line, you can guide your missiles just by moving your mouse around. If the pilot zigs in any direction, though, your missile will zag the same way. The bomber missile does so much splash damage that you may not need a direct hit to destroy something.

Use your W key for thrust. Then move foward, when you feel you can take off, Press your down key. Then level out your plane with the up and down keys. Fly straight for a while getting a feel for the plane. Then try a turn by press your left or right keys so your plane angles, then press your down key to pull around.
Mess around with those for a while.
