So I would be paying for fake medals? The kind people buy off of eBay and get arrested for because they pose as decorated veterans (as adressed by The Colbert Report)?
No thanks. I have pleanty of REAL awards (expert badges, ribbons & medals) that I don't need to try and be a poser with some made up ones.
Now that I think of it, I should start a post where people can post their REAL awards!

I voted no, but maybe I would (as blisteringsilence mentioned) because I was stupid enough to pay teh $10 for Euro.

Waste of money......I have bills to pay.
Wouldn't surprise me if EA took up the idea to milk us of more money. Id expect if they did the badges would fall apart after a week.
a week? not more then 3 days tops
OK, we're getting distracted again. There are a number of sites on the intarwebs where you can buy actual US military medals.

I don't want to advocate the buying and wearing of acutal military medals. I think that EA was totally correct when it decided to make its own awards, as to do otherwise would denegrate the value of the medals that our men and women in the armed forces have bled and struggled to earn.
I am talking about creating the actual ribbons, medals, etc. from in game. To order, you would have to include proof that you had actually earned the ribbons (somthing easily verified through chuy's wonderful site, i might add). It is not, as a matter of fact, illegal to wear devices that are not actually awarded by the armed forces. It may be in an ethically grey area, but is not specifically prohibited.
So, back to the debate. Yes, its dorky. Yes, its nerdy, and I might laugh at someone I see on the street who's wearing them. That being said, you work hard at attaining your stats... why not commerate them?

You know, my immediate answer is "no way would I buy this!". But I have often wondered if such a thing existed. You know, like Star Trek uniforms for trekkies who go to trekkie conventions.
It's not something I'd wear in public!!
Max.
