Okay now I found out why I cant enable the Dynamic Shadows in BF2 since 1.3 - it is not a bug!
You have to set the "Lightning" to High then you can enable Dynamic Shadows.

Thats pretty shitty cuz I want the Lightning = low   but Dynamic Shadows = high

I already tried to edit the video.con with "read only" but it still wont let me enable the shadows without setting the lightning to high.

Any Ideas?

Doesn't it work with lighting set to medium?
I've recently changed my video settings,if you have lighting set to low dynamic shadows are not possible because the light always comes straight down from the top,there's never light from an angle so that it theorically can't cast a shadow,it's always high noon on the maps.

It's always been like that... low=off so you can't enable dynamic shadows and with medium and high you can enable dynamic shadows

Nope, that's not true. Before 1.3 i got my Lightning settings on Low and Dynamic Shadows on Low - meanwhile this doesn't work anymore. I think EA "fixed this bug", because with this setting you're able to see more and especially you see shadows through walls etc.

its in the full patch discription for 1.3, every patch there is a great deal we dont know about that changes.

Well I've never been able to put dynamic shadows to anything else than off if lightning has been off

And my question was - is it possible (1.3)  to enable the dynamic shadows with disabled lightning.

Now all scenes for my movie are so fucking dark
