Check the manual for your mobo, because you have other things to consider. Some AGP 8x boards will work in 0.8V and 1.5V modes, and some only 1.5V. AGP 4x is usually 3.3V, but can also come in 5V flavor, so make sure you know before you buy the card, and that whatever card you get will work with the AGP voltages your board supports.

Based on that system description your system is AGP 8x if you have an AGP port. That pretty well means you can get any of the recent AGP cards and be okay.
This can help you a lot if you need to know what your mainboard is: http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php
Those are expensive. Get a 256MB Radeon 9600PRO, I should've saved up more and looked to get a PRO(They have much needed fans, most standard 9600s don't) but back when I bought mine, 9600s were expensive to begin with. It can play the game on high with a sufficient processor. Here's one for cheap: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a … 6814102410cyborg_ninja-117 wrote:
7800gs is good or get 6800gt. to me AGP is teh DEAD!!!
I am highly doubting you are getting anywhere near respectable fps running everything on high with a 9600._j5689_ wrote:

My friend runs it on his with high setting and it looks great. Then again he has a 9600PRO. 9600s unlike most cards are pretty affordable. Some people can't get money like it was nothing. That's why my rig sucks so much.Janus67 wrote:

^ You know why they're affordable? They're pretty old and a long shot from the newer cards today. It'd be like me going to buy a GeForce 5400. I'd say to go for the 7800gs or 6800gt.
i have an old gf fx 5200 (256 MB) for sale. It can run the on all low @ 30 fps. lol
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.
It plays BF2 pretty good and if you don't need top of the line like everybody else, it's the way to go.Gen. Payne wrote:
