I would like to try and copy what you did.  I am going to turn up all the settings on the mouse....and then you change the "sensitivity" settings in the options/control part of the game right?  I would want to turn the sensitivity DOWN as low as possible in the in game settings for non vehicle movement right?  This will, in effect, slow my pointer down, but keep my dpi up?

Then for vehicle movement in the in game settings, I would turn the sensitivity up?  I guess I am a little confused on the "sensitivity".

In the Razor setup....there were also some settings (forget them now) that you could turn up or down.....not knowing what they were, I turned them all the way up too.....I wish I remembered them right now....
Ok,here's my setup:
Razer options:1000Hz polling rate,2000 dpi,sensitivity 10 (max),windows pointer speed 2.1
Battefield options: Sensitivity for infantry 0.2,all the others a bit higher(gotta find out for yourself)

Personally I think it's a lot smoother than with 400 dpi,but opinions are like assholes, everybody's got one.
I hear you....I will do final "tweaking" myself....but this is a BIG help to get me going....thanks very much, I am looking forward to seeing how this works!!

LOL Blind, in your recent threads your grammar (puncuation especially) is starting to reflect your intelligence.
A mouse at 400 DPI is a hell of alot more then a computer screen at 78 DPI.

Your "skipping pixels" is because you don't have a steady hand.

And you can't base this on "your idea of how DPI works" when your idea is incorrect.

You can't base further fact on preliminary opinion.

Bad day at the playground?
I guess my grammar's not so bad given the fact that English is not my first language.

What the fuck do you asswipe know about how steady my hand is?
If you just wanna bitch around in the forums you got the wrong guy,why don't you go outside and start a fight there?
Let me guess, you are such a wuss that you would probably just get bitchslapped until you pee into your pants.

but with 400 or even 800 DPI you get what I like to call "skipping pixels"-effect.(At least I got it on several computers with several different games on several different screen resolutions, sometimes really annoying, sometimes not really dramatic.)
Well tbh it sounds like a rubbish mouse surface, I have a G5 on a pretty good surface and i never have that. I have my DPI from about 400 to 1800 at max (G5 Goes to 2000) but with high DPI is a bit OTT, The mouse just moves miles with a tiny push

I normally use about 400 for sniping and 600 for normal play.. on the fly

Skipping pixels has to do with the resolution of your optical/laser mouse. The lower the resolution, the more movement (change in picture) it takes to trigger a movement detection.

Therefore a surface that doesn't pick up the movements well could and most probably does lead to the "skipping" pixel

Why the hate?  He never claimed that his opinions were fact.....he was speculating on various adjustments to make the higher performance mouse more effective......it's tool bags like you that ruin the spirit of these forums.....douche.

What I found was that by setting the mouse to 2000 dpi for normal movement, turning down the sensitivity in the in game settings, and slowing down my pointer speed, I was able to REALLY slow down the mouse at 400dpi which in turn makes it easier to line up sniper shots.  2000 = normal speed and movement.  400 = slower speed, more travel for the mouse, easier to fine tune the head shot......

In game sensitivity is the key here as it can be set differently for movement and vehicles - so 2000 dpi on the mouse can be different for ground pounding, vehicle/turret, and sniping (if you have a mouse that has on the fly adjustment).
