K, i was told i have an odd control setup, and i wanted to know how other players tweak their controls from the default. I am mainly looking at infantry setups, and how you do all of your infantry movement/fighting, what you like about it, and what you think its shortcomings are: (if this is the wrong forum, then feel free to move it, but it semi techish!)
My setup is:
, = Strafe left
. = Strafe right
m = crouch
space = jump
right alt = reload
/ = alt fire
' = in game squad speed
[ = spawn map
right mouse = move forward
left mouse = fire
thumb one (on mouse side, forward) = prone
thumb two (on mouse side, behind thumb one) = sprint
scroll up/down (mouse button) = weapon switch
scroll click = vent speak
to me it feels natural, and gives me full control on movement that i don't find lacking. I am sure though for anyone, that talking and fighting at the same time is always more difficult, but its just a PITA for me when i sometimes use vent and sometimes use squad chat, i don't like the ' key for squad chat, but i only use it about 1/4th of the the amount i use vent and my scroll click key.
It also doesn't lend itself to some of the faster weapon selecting i see people doing, but i am sure everyone gets ticked when they think they are on auto on a weapon and are on single fire :-/
I need to get a logitech mx518 sometime though, i could really use the extra mouse buttons below the scroll button. (if you do run an mx518, how do you like the adjustable sensitivity? do you find it reasonable, and how exactly does the mouse adjust it? (the two small buttons behind the scroll wheel?)
input and karma me :-P
