good post man, because you took the time to write your true kit experiences with others, and not just writing from UBAR(which is totally fine but, sometimes people need other experiences to make decisions)
And as read, it is helping people make decisions. So good job. : )

-At first I disliked the G3.
Then I noticed it's accuracy and ability to take down infantry in single fire mode very easily.
-At first I loved the DAO-12.
Then I noticed how everytime I have it out, I'm in a long distance situation.
-I loved the Jackhammer...until I saw it while using it.
The gun looks so cool on someone else, but it's bland in your own hands. Plus reload kills it.
-I never could get into the PKM.
I enjoyed having infinite ammo, but even then soft vehicles were a bit of a wash for me. They would drive off before I could finish them, and up close crossfire, I always lost.
-I'm somewhat impartial to the m95 and G36c although I'm really starting to love the g36c. I find myself using claymores more often than the m95- and I also prefer the SVD to it imo. Decent up close battle ability, and long range sight.
-The l85a1 to me is a joke. When I'm using it, single fire mode or not, I can put 5-6 bullets in someone at point blank range and they won't really flinch. The second someone fires one shot at me, I'm killed by it. It seems nasty in the hands of others, however i just can't finish someone off with it.

you're anti-tank for chrissake, you've got ROCKETS!
hmmm...g36c in my opinion is underated by poster. pkm is way overrated. DAO is a great improvement over stock but not better than jackahmmer.
these are my opinions from my observations. such a post doesn't resolve anything because its very subjective and based on your style of play. nobody will play a kit based on its upgrade cause no upgrade domintes. therefore it comes down to what kit you like to play...get those unlocks. ITS BEEN SAID A THOUSAND TIMES!!!!! UNLOCK THE WEAPONS FOR THE KITS YOU PLAY THE MOST.
this post is useless...has all bee said before...all we have is another genius giving us their analysis of a moot point.
i appreciate effort of the poster but please do not STICKY this post...i've read way too many "unlock" posts....

Whoa, a bit harsh, aren't we?
Again, the only reason I did this was for the same reason you just said - yes, there ARE a ton of topics all over the site about unlocks, but mine was the only one I saw that had all the opinions in the same place.
Besides, it is being left as an open discussion topic where people can tell their own experiences and give their own input on each gun, so it isn't just one person's opinion.
Also, I havent had anyone complain and tell me I mislead them yet. Maybe it's because I put in the disclaimer - USE ME TO HELP, NOT TO STRAIGHT UP CHOOSE - right on the first post.
Im not asking this to be stickied, Im just defending my reasoning as to why I made this topic.

Well...there is a strangeness to the arguments about engineers...they have no armor, which means that they can't take bullets as successfully as assault, AT, and support. In fact, if you read UBAR or the game, you'll see that engineer, medic, sniper AND specops all lack armor. While I admit to regularly capping with specops and engineer, I also don't expect to have good survival rates. When I play engineer, I'm in a vehicle, not only so I can heal other vehicles, but to add armor around myself...I'll drive a truck or armor, but I don't use the buggies unless I have to since they provide almost no additional protection.
As for unlocks, I'm mighty disappointed with the Jack...I use it over the base, but after using the DAO, it's simply amazing the diff. On advice of UBAR and friends, I still have the PKM and the G3 left to unlock, but I doubt I'll use 'em when/if I get 'em. I love the G36 accuracy and I can definitely tell a difference. You can't pry the DAO from my hands. :-) The L85 is curious because of how bad it is in real life as compared to the game...I think, in general, I'll take the M16 first, but that's just me. (if you look at my stats, my medic is woefully underrepresented, as was engineer until recently)

Holy crap, you think the g36 is less accurate than the l85?The G36c is, in my opinion, highly overrated. I like the gun, but I do not find its accuracy to be all it is cracked up to be, and I am one of those that prefers the laser scope of the M4 or AK74U.
Have you even played the game?!
Yes, the sight on the l85 is 10x better than the rail sights on the g36, but that doesnt change the fact that:
the carbine hits where its aimed at more often than the l85, both on the first shot and for every successive shot.
What you mean is that the m4/ak74/l85 are more PRECISE because they have better sights.
That is true, except that the laser sight is large enough to obscure entire people at ranges where you can still get headshots with the g36, and the l85 is about as likely to hit them as a pistol.
I dislike the g36 because its sights have crappy magnification, and they obscure the bottom half of the screen, but its still the better gun.
No offense, but I have 2.5x as many kills as you do and my experiences dont match with what you are saying to any large extent.

Well then thank you for adding your experiences, instead of just telling me off.
Oh, wait.
Im going to humbly suggest this be locked. Every other post is people just bitching about my credibility.
You know something? If you are going to add your own advice and such, then by all means do it, that is the point of this topic. But if you are going to question my credibility and then leave your post at that, than dont bother posting. No one is forcing you to post here, and you can write your own damned guides.
Im done.

I didnt read the whole thing, but well done for making the effort.
Nah guys you have got it all wrong. In the hands of a professional (me) the G36C will out-gun just about every other gun in the game.
