Yes but with four, a sniper can single handed'ly whore the an entire spawn point, I'd like to asplode them with HE's.BigmacK192 wrote:
I say 4. This is because on many maps, there are many ladders to climb to get to the optimal sniping position. I like the ability to have a mine at the top of every ladder on the way up a crane. That way, I know I can be safer, longer, because the next four guys who try to climb up my ladder are going to be killed. That means a longer sniping period for me.

So true, I didn't consider the n00b snipers. I personally use them for defense of my flanks only. None of that spawnpoint whoring for me.PspRpg-7 wrote:

Claymores suck especially the ones where you don't even need to be near and they'll blow up.SgtSlauther wrote:

Are you sure you mean 0, By that post it seems you dont really care on the number you just want FF on all the time, make up your mind. Neithers going to happen but 1 the servers can change.[PHPR]-SpecialOps wrote:
I put 0 because the claymores of today are overpowered. Claymores in real life do not distinguish friends from foes, they blow up and don't care who they kill because they are machines (match, plastic, gunpowder, and a trigger. In fact, as far as I know, claymores in real life explode just like C4 does, just less bang and easier to conceal). Snipers can have claymores when claymores kill team mates. But, a skilled sniper doesn't need claymores. I'm not talking about myself, but some players that dedicate their gaming experience to sniping. They keep on the move and end up with a 20:1 kdr. They do this by using guns, not toys.
A team comprised mostly of snipers can, in a clan match, win the game off of claymores. They need only the snipers, resupply, and one anti tank. (0 anti tank needed on a sharqi match.. both the TV station and construction site are impervious to tanks and no one cares about the office buildings). Long story short, EA fucked this game up so it doesn't really matter anyway. If they hadn't, the game wouldn't be so unbalanced. Arguably, in real life, war isn't balanced. The U.S., Britain, and a few other members of the U.N. kick ass wherever they go, tough luck for the insurgents and jihad idiots that want 72 virgins after they blow themselves up. However, games are based on fun, and fun is based on fair play. Fair play is based on symmetry. Having claymores, and mines and well, that blow up only on hostile contact is not how it's supposed to be. As far as I know, a mine in real life cares who it blows up just as much as Mr. Claymore. If something pushes down that little button in the center, that mine gets pissed and blows up. It doesn't just say "Oh hey, wazzup home dog, go kick some MEC ass... I'll just sit here and wait for a jihad jeep to run by and blow up then." If a Hummer runs over it. God damned people personality prototype mines. FYI: that's an allusion to the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams. It's a great book and a butchered movie, go read it if you haven't already.
My 2 cents.
Dude, it doesn't matter if friendly fire is enabled on the servers... the claymores are programmed to identify and distinguish friends from foes and then explode accordingly. That's flat out gay.. All I'm saying is bring back the good old days when claymores and mines exploded on friendly contact. I know it's not a completely realistic game, but come on, hows the claymore going to tell a friend from the enemy, ask for a password?DrunkFace wrote:

You do know that its against the ROE to have FF off on a ranked server, So i wasnt talking about that. THERE IS ALSO AN OPTION TO HAVE FF FOR CLAYS/MINES ON TOOO YOU DUMBASS and its not against the ROE, its just not the default. So they will explode when a friendlys runs infront/over it. do you not read anything, or are you been hiding for the last couple of months since 1.2 came out.[PHPR]-SpecialOps wrote:

Also, I'm saying that until that time, (that time being the one where claymores explode if anyone walks in front of them) snipers should have no claymores. But afterwords, the snipers should have two. Two claymores that can be expertly placed, so that tango's trip them and friendlies don't. Otherwise people are going to keep on whoring the damn little things.
