I will vote primarily for Libertarian candidates who have no chance of being elected, yet have stated positions closer to my own personal views than any Republican or Democrat.  Both the Republicans and Democrats have demonstrated that they can't be trusted to stand by their own principles anyway, so they certainly can't be trusted to stand by MINE.  The point?  Time for a change.

Umm, what change if the libertarian has no chance anyway.  Republican seem to grasp that the world doesn't like us Americans too much, and they are willing to draw a line at where things will stop.  Bush, is just a tiny bit better than his father.  Reagan needs to be resurrected and become our best president again.  He knew what was going on where, and how to deal with it.  Most everyone here can aggree Reagan was the best, well except liberals who hate him just because he was a republican.

Because all of the drones who vote along party lines no matter what their candidate says or is about. Too many people sucked in by the bile that spews out of their leaders mouths. Taken as gospel, they try and indoctrinate others with their talking points. Then label you if you voice dissent or dissatisfaction with the way their party does things.

Fucking lemmings.

Miller, both of us know you weren't even alive for Reagan's presidency, so please tell me how you would say that he was the best president?

Republicans, if Bush is their standard bearer, have no principles to which they will stick.  It is amazing that the 'party of small goverment' has overseen some of the most intense government growth and intrusion on personal liberties we have seen in decades.

As far as 'change' goes; many times in the past eight or nine years, Libertarians have been spoilers for Republicans.  That is, the Libertarian candidates have recieved more votes than the Democratic candidates margin of victory.  Traditionally, whenever a popular third party comes along, the GOP or Dems eliminate the threat by adopting the principles of that party.  So, if I can help wake up the big parties and force them to adopt some libertarian ideas, I will have been successful.  I'd rather see the the Libertarian candidate win, but I'm not unrealistic enough to believe that will happen: so I'll take what I can get.  Either way, I'll vote for the candidate who most closely represents my views; as opposed to some whore who will only vote for a candidate that 'has a chance.'

And by the way, I think GHWB was a much better President than his son....but it is a matter of opinion, and reasonable people can disagree.
