Ok, I'm thinking about getting a new laptop and I'm trying to decide which video card I should get.  The laptop is primarily for school but I still want to be able to play games on it.
Right now I have the choice of the radeon mobility x1300 or the mobility x1400.  I know there are better cards, but these are my two choices.

I went to ATI's website and couldn't find any difference.

I'm torn between getting the cheaper x1300 which will work fine for now, or paying a little extra for the x1400 because of laptops and their notority for not being upgrade friendly.

anyone have any advice? (F.E.A.R. is probably the most graphics intense game I would play on it, I don't intend for the laptop to be able to handle anything like Crysis)

those laptops cant even handle fear. expect ro be playing mechwarroir 3 (like me =P)

but seriously, those cards arent anywhere near being able to handle fear.

ok, I know their not the best (all I have is the FEAR demo anyways), but whats the difference between them?

the x1400 probably has slightly higher clocks.

But both still are not much of a difference... They aren't gaming gfx cards...

can play fear in medium low settings...

hell my old X300 can play half-life 2 on high w/ 30 fps...

Ya my X600 can go on high in HL2 w/ no problems!
