Hey guys, currently I have 2 256MB and 1 512MB sticks of RAM.  They are PC3200, so I was thinking about selling all my RAM and buying this

What do you think?

Also, what do you think is the best way to sell my old RAM, as it still works fine.

2 gigs REALLY helps.  If its not defective, I'd go for it.

are you sure it fits onto your motherboard? otherwise it would be a waste of cash

i was thinking about doing this as well, i avg about 35FPS on high settings with my x800 right now but it can lag at times. what kind of performance increase would i see with an additional 1GB?

Memory won't improve frame rates very much, what it will improve dramatically are load times. Theres a big difference in Battlefield between 2 gigs and 1 gig. I say buy it.

Go for it! I have 2 Gigs as well, and it's not only for BF2 a great improvement. I'm working a lot on my PC and I wont miss it anymore. Btw, Corsair RAM's are excellent for tweaking...but never forget: Raise it in very small steps and always check stability between...

2GB is definately awsome if you can make it work.  Just make sure the board supports that much.  More than that just isn't really worth it yet.  Of course it will be, I'm sure we can all remember when 256MB of RAM seemed obscene.  As far as video issues, getting a 256MB video card (or 512 if you can afford it) will drastically improve rendering speed and ability.  PCIx16 ... maybe even SLI/Crossfire - but that would almost definately require a new board and PSU ... but yeah, 2GB is tré bien.

Simple, its like playing with 2 gigs except you keep freezing every 20 seconds. Adds a matrix time freeze kind of effect, except you cant do anything while that happens.

I have the exact same kind of RAM for my new computer, although I haven't tested it out yet. (No copy of Windows ) I have used Corsair XMS before and recommend it to anyone that has enough money to spend on it. Just make sure your motherboard can fit that RAM, it's pretty big. Also, your need a motherboard that supports dual-channel memory.
