The best gun in BF2?

Hi,

I just came to think about which is actually the best. And i don't want to here about you favorite weapons, I want you to take in to consideration stuff like firepower, amount of ammo, accuracy, versatility, damage etc.

And lets try to come to a conclusion, where we decide over one gun that everyone thinks is the best. There are probably allot of opinions on this, so lets really try to decide over one gun, so we wont get people saying what they like about every gun in the game.
You know what I mean?

Personally i don't know which gun I would consider the best, but how about you guys?

Depends on what you want to do with the gun, really.

L96A1 has the finest accuracy around, and for long-range shots it's the dogs bollocks.

For up-close and in-your-face combat, the fire-rate on the MP7 is a joy to behold.

I guess for all-round goodness, the G36E would be my pick. Accurate and rapid-firing, with decent damage. Personally, I prefer it to the AK-101 because of the accuracy, since when I play as a medic I hang a bit behind my squad and take longer-range shots.

Aim for the head and you don't need to rely on the recoil.

If i'm playing with my mates as USMC, you can see us regularly searching MEC kits for the AK-101.

Seen as a G36E is a second tier unlock, doesn't that say its not for noobs lol!!

AK-101 is a good gun, shot rate and power are high but my favourite is still the .50cal on the top of tanks. Can drop jeeps, buggies, transport choppers, attack choppers, planes and still shoot the infantry about the place.

the ak 101 is great in close city map situations. however engage someone from more 20 metres thats using a g36c youll get owned everytime. i pick g36c for great all round performence and laser accuracy + great recoil

You should use singelshot AK at those distances... Then it is accurate...

For some reason, I think the SAW i really good in close-quarter combat. it has very rapid fire, and pretty good accuracy.

Good for upclose combat, as it has loads of ammo and doesn't recoil to much.
Accurate from long ranges when scoped and put on 1 shot rather then full auto.
