Still makes me giggle like a 12 year old girl thinking about it.
Stock on a 165 is only 1.8Ghz, so it's a 9x multiplier at 200Mhz. I've turned it up to 310Mhz without even adding extra voltage... man this is a sweet chip. At 315 It was prime stable, but BF2 crashed and BSOD'd me. Of course stock voltage is 1.35v and there's lots of guys running 1.5 to 1.55 so I still have room to move, but I'm only on day 2 (is it 3?) with this CPU so I'm letting it settle.
It doesn't feel any faster than my opty 146 at 2.9Ghz, but I've yet to try any serious muti tasking.
If you want one I bought mine at monarchcomputer. There's a coupon code you can get from fatwallet to drop the price. It was about $260 shipped.
