BF2S Forums Has your game time decreased due to Lost connection issues in patch1.3

I'm tired of it.....the game is pathetic now.

My game time has greatly decreased due to the 1.3 connection issues.  I went so far as to repatch my server to 1.22.  I still get points and all the new 1.3 badge requirements works as well.  Funny little side note over half of the servers still using 1.22 are EA Official servers....go figure.  It was a pain having to uninstall and the reinstall the game but in the long run I have no drops and do not lose any points due to 1.3.  If anyone is interested the server IP is 72.232.187.76 and is located in Dallas, Texas.  Also WWW.SFSGAMING.COM is the website.  I just hope they resolve these issues soon.

somewhat, if i join a full server i'm fine. when more than 3 people start connecting to the server my game becomes almost unplayable. as soon as they're in-game it goes back to normal, no studder just smooth gameplay. it's the strangest thing as i can't figure out why it's doing this.

If EA will do shit about this problem then we can actually play their fuckin game.

It's especially insulting because it takes so long to load and verify client data, only to have the damn game crash and have to do it all over again... sigh.

This game is nearly a year old and it still needs to be fixed, thats fuckin pathetic. EA is a sorry excuse for a game company.

To be honest, I had more problems in versions prior to 1.3 than after.  Not only did I install the full 1.3 over the top but I also downloaded, installed, configured and updated my PunkBuster definitions and haven't had a crash yet.  I've seen the "problem with you connection" message but it goes away after a few seconds and I am back playing.  Maybe it is just my system but updating PunkBuster did the trick for me.  Try Evenbalance.com if you have problems.  You can also look at http://www.secretsofbattlefield.com/hardware1.html for other ideas.

Unfortunately, almost all servers have had an increase of downtime since the patch, and you can't play on a down server no matter what your configuration.  The only thing you can do at that point is to find another server.  However, I have to admit that some days are much worse than others.  Some days, I don't have a problem at all.  Some days, I'm lucky to play for 10 minutes.
