Gah, its been over three months now since my first issue with these things, First, I had a problem with a foreign sound coming through over the speakers, then it was my drivers and how I lost connection with my mic

After all that time playing without a mic, getting raped, listening to kids talk shit over the mic and wanting to grab it and yell STFU NOOB! Ive decided to fix everything

The foreign sound is gone now, and my drivers are sorta fixed back, but now, when I record myself, I hear myself, but really really faintly, all sound settings are at max

Sound Card - ALC860
Driver - (Latest, From Realtek Website)
Running - Windows XP
Headphones - Cosonic CD-890MV

More specs on request

What I am asking for is, how can I get my mic working properly?

I have one of those headsets with the pink mic plug and green speakers plug.

I had to use boost mic gain on the PC.

In the game options, put the mic volume low, at like 3 to 5 %.

that should work.

Thing is, everything worked fine before something happened and I had to reset my driver
