I'm waiting for something other then the EA POS to install it. A friend of mine got Euro ok, but Armored Fury will not work. Period. Has reinstallled, followed the steps posted on EA for troubleshooting...and still can't play it. At least now he can play the regular game again. EA needs to stop doing things half assed.....which is another reason I'm not buying 2142 (whatever) until at least 3 patches are out. By then it should be playable.....

yup I wish the Booster Packs waz on a CD that would be sweet....
I'm happy without having a cd, it saved me quite a bit of time from having to go and find it in a store. Credit cards aren't a problem either, I refuse to use a credit card but I'll use my debit card when I want to buy online.
The price was fine by me, £6 really isn't breaking the bank and what really could I buy for that? It's around the price of a cheap takeaway. I'd much rather pay £6 for the game and download it then pay £10~£15 for a cd and a few pence worth of packaging.
Also, EA downloader was absolutely fine, and as promised did download at the maximum my connection would allow: 250kbps.

someone said before that they put euroforce in high street retailiers around Germany. well they have done the same again for armoued fury but i think its only available around Europe. thats excluding the UK. also there are solutions to online orders, the american express gift card that is available world wide. also that BT click and buy feature i think has a phone option.

I went back and tried twice more with the same result. AF didn't appear in the downloader, so I gave up and searched 'why do teens always beat adults in comebacks?' on Google. Next day, I checked my card statement online and EA had charged me £1! So, I'm a quid lighter and no booster pack. Rotten b*stards.
I did buy it 30 min ago...did not show up in ea downloader until I log out and back in

I think you're all missing the point and meaning of "karma". First off, it doesn't really matter. At all. Second, karma is simply an ethereal feeling from being kind, or being a bastard. And since its all perception anyway, if someone thinks you're being a bastard ... that's BAD KARMA.
That all being said, I put in my repetitive vote for a "gold" edition with all the expansion/booster packs on actual media. I've always been more a fan of media as it makes DR easier anyway.

That would be pretty kick anal if EA would throw all booster's on a CD later on (2 just aint enough). Naturaly i dont trust throwing my card number up on the internet but also there is the fact i constanly get sticky Downloads on everything above 400 or 500 MB's...but im sure if EA had any good habbits like Blizard Ent. then they will. Blizard always throws up the main game and bosters in a giant package deal. I've really only seen EA do that once! Thats the road to roam, vieatnam and something else package. Maybe we will get lucky. Who knows.

I don't mind buying online, but it would be nice to have the option to select your purchases then CHOOSE to either recieve via a download or pay an extra 5 or 10 bucks to have a cd mailed to your home. Options are nice. I say this because I don't like to have to re-download games after I rebuild a pc and because I'm running the game on Win2kPro and the darn downloader doesn't work unless you have XP.

Guess what I bought today? A brand new AF boxy reading "PC Download Code" instead of "PC DVD". Basically a DVD box without a DVD, but with a serial and download instructions... I think they are only available in Central Europe (I'm in Austria). Makes a cooler collectible than using just the downloader.B.Schuss wrote:
