BF2S Forums Armore Fury map tips and tricks

My first observations on road rage.

1: Stall speed on both bombers is very low, so you can line up for a shot/bombing run very well.... BUT since you do not have an After Burner, there is no way of pulling out of a dive quickly... You will have to build up momentum to get out of a dive, so flying slowly will leave you open to lucky tanker kills.

2: The central overpass has a little ladder in the centre you can use to sneak up to the flag and getting some kills off of the guys engaged in the tanks running up and down the highway

3: Since there are no missiles on the planes your oponent has no way of knowing you are on his six unless he checks it once in a while.... So tank your time in leading your target and get him while he is doing a right or left turn... He has no afterburner, so he cannot get away quickly... I you lead his plane a bit you will kill him in 3 - 4 gun bursts.

4: Most buildings / towers have ladders to climd on top of them. Us this to your advantage.

5: The truck is great for ramming jeeps (DPV's) but is no match for a tank or LAV.

6: Along the central higway there a ditches that are great for avoiding tanks...

Beste Way to cap flags quickly is loading up the heli and doing some hit and run tactics on the flags.3 ppl will cap a flag in 10 seconds.

Commander tip. Pick a flag near your main and defend it with AA/AT/TOW and any tanks unused. I led my team in kills as commander at the gas station of Road Rage USMC.

on a recent road rage round we had 5 tanks and two Linebackers in our convoy. nothing came close to us from the air. 3 of us were engineers so anytime anyone would get hurt they'd be back to full armor in no time. it was funny seeing the jihad jeeps coming at us and 3 tank shells hit their jeep within milliseconds of eachother. they'd try to bomb us but bug off once they had missles flying at them.

traveling in convoys with AA cover seems to work real well or the SU pilot was an idiot. we were losing real bad (150 - 40) and came back to win it. it was a good time with people who actually knew what teamwork was. by the end we were picking off choppers/tanks coming from their uncappable.

you can hide on the roof at some of the flags which tanks have a hard time hitting you. without chopper support you can take the tanks out by sniping them with AT rockets. we also mined the overpass quite heavily which prevented them from capping it on several occasions.

if you're in a tank on the overpass shooting down, you get considerably more lucky with the 1 shot tank kills. i took two tanks out and was accused of hacking. i also got owned quite a few times with full armor from a T90 on the overpass.
