I don't really know where to go between these cards. I'll be using 1 GB with em if that makes a difference. The choices when getting a computer...

or you could wait for DX 10 series cards to come out, but if you want to spend the money now, 7600

this explains it all:

EDIT: added link for emphasis

If he has bad graphic card why to wait for dx10 cards, because windows vista isn't coming out earlier than a year and I think it's still not ready when a year has passed. And many games will still support dx9 because they would loose many customers because many people ain't buy windows vista immediately when it comes out.

buy the 7600 over the 6600. Newer series with newer tech (90nm, sm 3 and similar stuff). Allso it is more powerful.
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot  xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.
