I thought I might as well try going windowed for once, see if I could run multiple programs in the background. So i try it, and put on 600 X 800 @ 75 MHtz.......... and it works perfectly! I am so pleased with this. I get around 70-90FPS now instead of 40-50 average. I recommend all should try this.

What did you do? Just changed the mode from windowed to full screen? That gives you a boost of 35FPS boost?

yeah - all i did was right click on the bf2 icon. Properties -> Shortcut tab -> then changed 'fullscreen 1' to 'fullscreen 0'

Thats all i did. Huge boost.

You have to look out more. It's amazing how much more you can spot on a huge screen. I have recently got into being a sniper now, and I really makes it smooth when looking through the scope. So easy to lead targets now. Also, i have put the geometry up to high and i think it was lighting that i also put to high. No difference at all in gamplay. YAY!!! ;-)))))

He tells you a few posts up. Right-click the icon and it's somewhere in the properties or something.

You do have a look around more though. Pay more attention to your surroundings. I got used to it now

EDIT: To make it clearer.

Right click on the icon you use most often to open BF2
Go properties
On a tab at the top, click shortcut.
THen in target, it says ....BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1
Change to ....BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 0
