I have installed the game and it works without patching it, after trying to patch the game with the 1.3 patch it wouldn't finish and after trying to get into the game it came up wiv the error mods/bf2/shaders/lightning.fx not found!!! _D0_ check your working directory, _AND_ sync your shaders folder before calling upon your local rendering programmer/GP. (really!)

So if lightning.fix was not found then it wasn't installed (hence: "the patch wouldn't finish"). Looks like your
gonna have to either re patch (i recommend using the full patch) or start from scratch again.

Download again and make sure and restart your computer afterwards. Also I had to reinstall EF to make it work after patching.

right i have reinstalled BF2 uninstalled, downloaded new drivers, everything u lot said and it still dont work any other ideas
