The one thing I don't like about Assault is they only have 1 measly smoke grenade. If they had more it'll be better. Occasionally I use it to hide the direction I'm heading in order to get behind people, but I have to be conservative because I only have one of the damn things. If I had more I would be happy and using them a lot more, particularly to give fellow anti-tank guys some cover so they stand a chance against a tank.

- Since Assualt is practicly a useless pack, here is my suggestion.
im sorry but imo the assault class is one of the best kits
Let's see:
*Like medic, assault gets the best guns in the game (AK-101, AK-47, M16A2, and the G3 for those who like it)
*Assault gets the body armour, meaning that in an equal standoff Assault should win.
*Assault gets the grenade launcher, which is still damned effective.
*They also get a smoke grenade.. useful, sometimes.
*In SF they get a flashbang instead, wich is extremely useful
*Not to mention the grappling hook, letting them get pretty much everywhere.

Woah, woah, woah, woah, woah, woah, woah, woah, woah, woah, woah. Lois this is not my Batman glass. And the assault kit is not useless. Its what the streets of Kharkand and the like were made for! I suggest that you don't just stick to one kit- wiegh up the situation and change accordingly. If nothing else, the assault has a kick ass weapon (G3) which is very accurate in single fire and zoomed mode kinda like a poor mans sniper rifle and has loads of armour, more bang for your buck and more buck for your bang.
Still it is all don to personal preference. Have fun though mate- thats what the game is all about.

Mean while the Medic in your squad, steals your third kill for two points, revives the other two members of your squad that were killed in the firefight, uses his extra run to beat you to the flag while your still killing guys that are trying to kill your squad, when you finally reach the flag with <50% health from all the fighting he throws you a med kit for another point. The medic has just earned 2+4+4+1 = 11 points to your 5. When the squad attacks the base you just capped, the other two die again (they are idiots) the medic gets two more revives there, two defended flags from killing two guys, and another healing point off you. So let's total that up 11 from before + 4 + 2 + 4 + 1 = 22 points! Wow, doesn't your 7 points look like crap now?Darky wrote:
Here's an idea: Cap some flags. Get in a squad, and move with them around the map, capping flags. Remember, if you do >50% damage to a player and someone else kills him thats 1 point to you, even though you missed out on the kill.
So say for example you join a squad of 4 peeps. You all arrive at hte flag in generally the same time. On the way in you kill 2 people, and severely wound another. That's already 5 points before the flag. Then you help neutralise, and then cap the flag. That's another 2 points. Already you're up to 7 points for very little work. Then say on the way out, a few enemies, maybe a squad attack the flag you've just helped cap. Out of the 5 players attacking you and your squad, you kill 3 and wound 1. That's another 7 points. Now you're up to 14 points and that's just 1 flag.
Assault, Sniper, and Anti Tank classes screwed over when it comes to team points, they have no method of getting team points for sure, all the other kits have a way to get team points.
Special Ops - C4 commander assets for "Destroying Strategic Object Points" even though they are only 1pt
Support - Ammo giving points, you can get 10 or 15+ of these in a game legitimatly no problem
Medic - Come on....
Engeneer - Repair Points, harder to get, but thats only on small maps like Karkand, player armor oriented maps (read... the ones nobody plays) and you can get some decent points
The Assault kit needs some kind of team points buff, maybe they cap flags faster so they get the capture point, even if they dont enter the flag first or however that works. Hell I'd like a point every time my flashbag hits an enemy, or just a point for throwing smoke, even though that would obviously be abused.
The idea of 1 team point for a kill is a good idea now that I think about it, it's their job to kill, its a C4 guys job to destory assets and they get points for that. Following this logic though, an AT guy should get a point for blowing up an enemy armor, which seems like a good idea to me too.
THANK YOU! The insanity has stopped!EvilJebus wrote:

G3... what were you thinking ? practically useless?! Its people like you that got the awards dumbed down.
p.s. we have a spell check now
p.s. we have a spell check now
Did you ever read the posts i did? i never said the G3 was useless. I said getting extra points for assault was useless. Learn to read.
assault useless? not by the way i use it. i used to hate the assault class pre 1.22 but now i love it. they nerfed the gl? so what, it still does the damage you just have to aim better with it. and as far as getting other points besides killing, cap flags. thats how i get alot of my teampoints with assault is i go and cap flags. im almost always the 1st one there in my squad so i clean up all the infantry and then cap flag. assault is a deadly class to be reckoned with if you know how to use it properly.
Hmmm debatable. Personally a minimum of a "great" gun for me is accuracy. G3 lacks alot of accuracy IMHO so I don't like it. If I'm playing as MEC I take the stoch gun and anyone else, I take my F2000Naughty_Om wrote:

I'm sorry, but any of the assault non-unlocks completely blow away the f2000. spend some time with an m16 and you'll see.Avarice wrote:

What if you're in a chopper or somthing, and then should got 3 points for each kill? Nah.
i didnt think of that. thanks for pointing that out! maybe my idea is horrible anyways!
I WANT 3 POINTS FOR EVERY KILL FROM Y J-10 ON WAKE!!!11!!!!!11!!!!1-Solv3r- wrote:

nat stupid idea, everyone would get so many points as assault.
im happy the way it is:)

Isn't the grenade launcher enough?? I mean that thing is a one shot multikiller if used properly...genius_man16 wrote:
Assault: Grenade Launcher.... and that's it
yes, Assault can get Flash Bangs, and they always have A smoke grenade... but the flash bangs are kind of useless as it's hard to hit people with them, and the smoke grenades don't really have much of a hiding factor... just sort of a little distraction...
And the flashbangs arent useless... I've seen Assault players take out a whole group of blinded enemys in one rush that would have been impossible without...

I agree that 3 points for ANY kill is a bad idea, but as the original post says, with an assault rifle.
While I dont think this is a bad idea, it is not the solution.
I have played rounds where the most valuable player was an AT guys that kept armour off our squad's backs for the whole round. He got very few points because he did not get that many kills [people tend to bail from armour, or back out to repair], and was not the first into the flag cap raduis etc, but he was the reason the squad did so well.
On a similar note, a Sniper is unlikey to get good points in a round either [if they are not in a vehicle].
I think one of the best ideas was giving the Assault class extra sprint. I dont think this would unbalance the game, but give Assault a little [not a lot] more edge in combat, and getting the flags.
I would strongly support that addition to the game.

I could actually see getting 3 points for kills with the "1337 launcher" simply beacuse you need to be a half decent player to use it effectivly and because you only get 5 rounds
with original gun mabye.
with the kills the f2000 gets BAD idea.
with the kills the f2000 gets BAD idea.
And Medics should get 2 points for everytime they click on a dead body, because it takes skill clicking on dead bodies with the defib and it takes 5 seconds to charge up. RIGHT. You make me laugh buddy.Pernicious544 wrote:

I believe there is only one solution :
Take reviving out of the game.
And it that doesn't work :
Eating cheese
But you have to admit that Medics are WAAAAAAAAY too overcompensated with points. Just ADMIT it. I once got a score of 80 something while I was healing myself, reviving others, and killing enemies. The rest of my team was still in the 30's. It's legalized point farming by EA/Dice, IMO.

well my solution would be to make the defib only able to make 5 or less revives it takes a lot of power to revive a guy ( just imagen it okay ) the gl would be send back to pre patch 1.22 where they destroyed it, it should still have a minimum arm time but the redius is redicolus at the moment if you shot them half a meter away from them they don't die unrealistic and useless normally.
Assault is used for what's it's called: assaulting. It's a class to kill and to kill only. Healing/reviving is the Medic's job. Resupplying is the Support's job. Repairing is the Engineer's job. Destroying Commander assets is the Spec Op's job. Destroying tanks is the AT's job. Long distance engagement is the Sniper's job.
Although you don't get as many team points with Assault, I feel it's pros more than make up for it's cons. It takes more shots to kill you, you have a Grenade Launcher which is great for long distances, and you have smokes which you can use to distract the enemy. I believe this makes up for team points and the slow sprint if you're a team player.
