BF2S Forums European Society is superior to US society.

I would justify this with an answer, but it is 10000% biased from the get go.

This is wrong because its not a sociological thing its a choice of economic sytems. Basiclly you are trying to say that capitalism is worse than communism. As in capitalism the gap between the rich and the poor grows. But i have one question have u ever heard of the U.S. welfare system created in the 30's?

Um, both sides practice capitalism?

Greed is the difference here.  Individual greed, corporate greed, etc.  Not all Americans are in it for the money.

Dude, That is a loaded Question but as being an American I have to say they both have positives and negatives.

Are you suggesting the EU is a communist regime!? I assume not.

The gap exists in europe sure but is neither as massive or as obvious as it is in the US (as was made transparently obvious after the New Orleans disaster). Our taxes are paying for a nicer society in which to live, with fewer social ills.

EU is not communist, however is more socialist than the US.  Communism=political while Socialism=economical, which the poster probably got those mixed up.

(Note--I'm not saying the EU is socialist, just more socialist than the US.)

Basic breakdown of the poll question, "Na-na-na-na-naaa, Our economic system and way of life are better than yours, pfffffffftttt!!!"

Its really an unfair question, just makes it sound like what is commonly known as a European stereotype, (from what i hear) that Europeans are snot nosed stuck ups, and in the hundreds of Europeans over the years ive met, maybe 5 or 6 of them actually think America in this way.  The point is, this is how we choose to live, I choose to serve in the military, its my choice, no one signed the paper but me.  And I know once I become a civilian, ill have to fight my way to the top and trample the weak to get there.  A cold assumption, but in business its survival of the fittest.  So please I ask that you NOT make yourself sound like an ass, and just at least you could have made it a fair and neutral question.  Sorry if I was a little brutal, but i hate when people think they are better than other people, we are all human with different lifestyles, get over it.

There's really no such thing as "European society". Society is different in all European countries. Personally, I'm from Denmark, and I'm completely sick of Danish society, Danish culture and Danish taxes. I'm moving to the US to live with my fiancée when I'm done with college, however if I had the money, and the language barrier wasn't a problem, we'd move to Italy instead.

Is European Society superior to US society ? that's a dumb question, how could say that a society is "superior" to another one ? they all have drawbacks and advantages, mix them up and create the perfect utopia...

as for "riots" in France, it's nothing, let alone comparable to 1992 Los Angeles or 60's Detroit ones....just overmediatised events...

No, communism is economic.

If it wasn't for America you all would be speaking German or Russian. How soon you all forget over there. So quick to bash the county that saved your asses. Our society's both have there faults. But if European society was superior I would think that we wouldn't have to keep giving billions of dollar to keep your superior society afloat.
And before you think that I don't like Europeans let me just say that my family came to America from Germany right after Hitler took power because they didn't want to be part of what he wanted. And they also helped liberate Europe by joining the American army and fought against there own people.
I've never been to Europe ,but someday would love to visit.

He seems to think Europe is one big country.
