I have searched a few topics but I have come across nothing similiar to this and if there is one I apologize in advance. Last night I requested commander and the spot was taken by a 2nd Lt. I have captain status is this a new bug or just a glitch I might have encountered on the particular server I was playing on? Anyone else seen this with this patch?

on sum levels they drop vodniks .. others its jeeps
If you apply for command after someone else has applied and been accepted, but just diddnt press page up yet, the other guy gets command.

you might have applied after the timer for higher ranks has expired, but before he has hit page up to accept command.
If he has higher commander score than you, he will be selected.

I guess it's in the code,similar to the spawnpoints.
The spawnpoints code defines which vehicle to spawn(see the "modify-your-levels-to-your-own-taste"-thread),so I guess that in the patched 1.3 maps there is some kind of information which defines which vehicle is dropped in the level.
Should be no problem to have tank- or heli-drops in your modded levels,maybe Citizen One will give it a try...

i lost command to a first sergeant yesterday and im a 2nd lt. some other people i know have been seeing the same problem.

Heh I am usually the first in game... I did and there is a timer on that. Before patch I had applied before anyone loaded up. Someone higher applied after they came in and took it from me. It had nothing to do with my time applying for it. =/

That would probably be faster, but one of the advantages of being 1st Sgt and Sgt Maj is that you get preference for commander over master sgt and master gunnery sgt ranks.chittydog wrote:
