Your a moron its about competition, about achieving something that most others have not been able to. If you dont understand about beign competitive just go back to your 30,000$ a year job for the rest of your life

it may be a pixel representation, but in real life you think the crappy piece of medal that is awarded to you is tangible. Its amazing what a soldier will do for a little colored piece of cloth.

Congratulations...you have an unimaginable amount of free time.  For the rest of the world, it doesn't matter.  IMHO the awards were all set way too high for the average community player anyway.

Just change the names to "NOOB EXPERT KNIFE" "NOOB HELICOPTER RIBBON" etc.

Competition, friend, occurs in the game.  The awards have little to do with it.  Nor does my current salary (and you need to increase that figure a bit).

I believe you're insinuating that the awards that have changed are only achievable by a few.  In reality, all of them are achievable within the current game mechanics if you understand them.  The "old" WCR is achievable but you sacrifice fun.  Trust me, I know.  EA/DICE just made it easier because it's more fair and more fun ... you concentrate less on the stupid awards and more on the reason why you should be playing ... entertainment.

You just made it utterly clear, by comparing two things related only in name, that you have no idea what you're talking about.  "Tangible" refers to anything palpable or concrete ... for example, you can touch it.  The REAL medals that are awarded to REAL soldiers for REAL things?  That's tangible.  The ones in your stats profile?  Not tangible.  See the difference?

You make an interesting reference that some soldiers are glory hounds ... some soldiers are definitely in it for the medals and the glory (apparently you'd be one of those?).  However, the honorable ones (and are far more common, thankfully) don't do glorious acts for medals.  They do them for country and for their comrades, and most often don't think they should receive the medal for their act.  Humility is much more impressive than ANY medal.
