Ive only played 4 or 5 games since patching to 1.3 and already I have seen 3 commanders
on 3 differant servers drop jeeps on enemy jets as they were taking off, killing the pilots..

Once again EA/DICE doesnt use any form of common sense.. I firmly believe they havent
got a clue about war/army simulations.. Its like they put their Yahtzee game team on making BF2
or something.. Im just waiting for them to issue light sabres to every kit, and change all the
jets to Tie Fighters.. and wheres time machines ? Wheres the light speed button on my chopper?
Why cant I just beam my squad mates to a control point anytime I want ? Or why cant I take ground
from my chopper ? , oh yeah, I can do that............ funny

oh I agree, and yes, I do play.. however.. after 10 months of release EA continues to screw
things up.. not make things better.. simple fact.

I guess Im just not a pacifist like some people... when someone sells me a turd, I like to tell people
its a turd, I dont spray Chanel #5 on it, and tell people its tasty and all is good!

It's already getting exploited more than I thought it might. I have my worries when they announced that feature. I've played several games (not even 24 hour after the patch was released) and I've seen it abused EVERY time during play. And I can see why... it's a cheap alternative to a artie strike.
If you're a sniper on a roof... expect a jeep! Standing still somewhere in 'Warlord'... expect a Toyota on yer melon! I'm seeing it in every game I play now.

However, I'm not to the point where I'm complaining.... yet... but I can REALLY see where this will anger a lot of players who simply wanna play a legitimate game, but be at the mercy of some smacktard commander tryin' to pad his stats.

Yes, I realize it's just a game, but I can see why some people would like a little more realism when ideas like this go wrong. It's a very cool idea, but one that should have been planned and play tested a little better.

In EA's defense i think some comman sense is required by people playing.. dont get me wrong not having a dig at you, and its unlike me to stick up for EA..

But alot of the stupidness in this game is caused by stupid players.. a commander in control of of art, supplys and jeep drops should be waiting for the troops on the ground to request.. and only deploting on a request.. and the exception to the rule is when a commander is playing as he should and directing say squad a and squad b and telling them to hold their position. lay down the art. send in the UAV, send in the squads and then supply them.. problem is how often do you see this in a game!! not often! but when i do.. i generally make a comment to him/her and say thanks! good work.

4 other dudes try and steal his jet, but then the cobra spawns and 2 other guys run for that... ARTY HIT EVERYONE ON THAT DAMN DECK!!!

I had fun with this yesterday ... tried a bunch of stuff. Dropped a FAV on a helo ... nothing happened, helo just moved to the side and took off. Dropped a FAV on a sniper, yep, worked just like a supply crate ... but didn't always work. Gotta hit 'em with the tires I guess.

Dropped a truck on a tank too ... tank driver freaked out, spinning his turret trying to find more. Hysterical.

Helped a guy out with his jihad jeeping ... by the time he respawned I had another waiting for him ready to go.

And finally, normally I don't advocate TK'ing ... but I was sitting in an out-of-the-way AA turret, and some fucktard TK's me so he can sit in it (mind you, no jets raping or anything to explain that behavior). So I decided to watch him ... he jumps out about ten seconds thereafter, and runs to the jet that just spawned. I dropped the jeep on the runway as he was taking off. Hahaha sweet sweet revenge.

Overall ... interesting tactics ... commanding just got a little more fun.

DICE is a bit puzzling in how it rolls out new features. The first 1.3 server I played on featured ADVANCE (A.ir D.ropped V.ehicle A.ttacks N.ot C.ool E.mofag) on top of the TV station on Sharqi. Funny at first but very lame after a while.
