I'm not talking about squad hopping. As I see it, squad hopping is changing squads to get closer to the battle. I am against this change as you cannot cycle the squad-leader any longer, and therefore if you die and you have no medic you may have to go back to the other side of the map to spawn...

My pings skyrocketed..... Went from 100 average (I know... remote area... ) to roughly 250-300... This is on servers that I played on at least once a week previously....
I also get random crashes again, which I haven't had since 1.21... .....
Might have to try get onto a server again... Might have been the net connection playing up......

what vehicles can you drop ? - is it just jeeps
i dled mine from insomnia 365 and bf2 wont start.
Pretty sure it is just jeeps, I think they said that before anyways... Tanks would be just a little overpowered for a drop.

Just played my first round and got the following awards ... expert knife, and two infantry medals as soon as the round started ... and after 25 kills IAR with the jet I got the Air Combat medal ... really sucked the fun out of getting those,
Oh and Zippor (very good Uk pilot) believes the afterburner is now bugged

I must be missing something or just flat-out blind but when I stumbled across this post just a few minutes ago I immediately went to EA's website and clicked on Community News, but I am not able to locate the 1.3 patch. Am I doing something wrong or just going nuts?

They haven't put it on there yet...this always happens...
Guys, don´t forget to rename your bf2.exe into the original name! (in case you changed to something else) The patch won´t work with a renamed .exe !!!

I installed the full patch, not incremental. First bug I noticed was that none of the players show up in the server browser, when I click on them I either get ping 0 or ping 233435 <starts with a 2 and is about that long. I just double clicked a server that said it had a good number of people on it and I joined.
Instantly got a medal, so they have changed those, I recind my doubting thomas comments.
Heard people complaining about F35, but I didn't see any other bugs. Helis do seem to fall to earth more effectibvely, but it did seem as though a switch to tv and fire and back to pilot would still be possible.

i have just found out on wake u can still destroy arty as i droped to bombs from f35 and bingo it blows
You have to learn the rules of the game and then you have to play better than anyone else.
The new squad stuff is absolute BS. It slows the game down completely and now it's almost impossible to assault an island from the carrier with a large degree of success. It's partially ruined BF2 for me.
