Read the stick post on propose a new stick there is alot of info in there for someone like yourself.
don't knock it if you don't know it.  Those sempy 3100s can OC to 2.25Ghz with no effort.  Some guys are running them up around 2.5Ghz with a decent HSF.  I found an article a while back showing one of these guys going head to head against an A64.  I was pissed when I saw it only a hair slower than the a64 3500 I had just bought.
If you don't believe me I've got 2 at my house right now, both OCed to 2.25Ghz (one I built for the son of a friend and will go away soon).  I can run whatever tests you'd like to see (sandra?) and PM you screen shots, but they run VERY fast.  I was sold when I noticed they benchmarked higher (before the OCing) than an XP 3200 in tomshardware's mother of all CPU list.  I have yet to install BF2 on either since I only have 1 copy... but I can.  Both only have 1 gig of ram though, so BF2 will be a little choppy.

G3, I think you'll be VERY happy with your system.  All the parts are a little off from what I would order, but that's mostly ford vs. chevy stuff.
Are you going to reuse your old case?  Be careful if you plan on reusing your powersupply.  I've managed to cook 2 good motherboards with an old powersupply when "upgrading" a system.  Like I said before... hit your local Fry's if you have one.  The Antec slk1650b case and power supply for only $15 is a SUPER DEAL, and cheap insurance (to avoid an RMA) since you mail ordered your parts.

yeah i made the unfortunate mistake of purchasing a new mobo the other day and when i recieved it this morning i found out my old power supply was not compatible( my new dfi need a 24 pin connector plus a 4 or pin connector and my old psu was only a 20 plus 4 connector). so i had to purchase another psu this afternoon, but i look at it as now i have a good psu that is sli certified.

Check your motherboard book, that old PS should still work.  You just need to line up the 20 pin cable correctly with the 24 pin plug and use the existing 4 pin cable on the 4 pin plug.
Most newer power supplies actually have the single 24 pin power cable as 2 seperate plugs held together with a snap, that way you can seperate them for older motherboards with a seperate 20 and 4 pin plug.

The old psu has a 20 and 4 which comprise one 24 like you said. The catch is that the newer dfi boards require a 24 plus a 4 or a 8 pin connector. So unfortunatly that resulted in purchasing a new power supply. All though I got a great deal on this one and I think it's going to work out better in the end.

I didn't realize the DFI boards require the 24 and the 4.  My ECS KN1 SLI Lite has both a 24 and a 4 but it works with either a 24 or the older 20 and a seperate 4.  There was actually a sticker over the extra 4 plugs on the 24 plug power port... that sticker made me take the extra few seconds to open my book and read.  That's how I found that for my board it's either or...but not both.
