I've done stuff like this, except modifying weapons.
Imagine an M24, perfect accuracy with single shot or full auto fire. Oh yeah, it shoots artillery. So yeah, it takes out armor.
It's very fun
I've also modified the snipers pistol into a full auto close (or long if your leet) range death machine.

The messing around with the points. And seeing yourself have a zillion points is fun? Tweak shit is cool and stuff, but seeing points you'll never get is no fun as far as i'm concerned.

They already are . They revive you first without killing the enemy.

For the M24
For the Silenced 92FS
Quick rundown on how to install:
1) Find the Battlefield 2/Mods folder.
2) Duplicate the folder "BF2"
3) Rename the duplicate to "BF2Fun"
4) In "BF2Fun" find "Mod.desc"
5) Inbetween the <title></title> tags, give it a name like "BF2Fun". Save and exit.
6) Back in the "BF2Fun" folder, find "Objects_server.zip" and open it in something like winrar.
7) Navigate to weapons/handheld then to the usrif_m24 folder.
8) Replace the .tweak file in that folder with the one you downloaded.
9) Go back to weapons/handheld and find the uspis_92fs_silencer folder.
10) Again, replace the tweak file with the one you downloaded.
11) Exit Winrar or whatever program, then launch BF2.
12) Go to the community tab, then custom games. Click "BF2Fun" or whatever title you gave it then click activaite.
13) It'll ask if you want to restart BF2, click yes.
14) Start a singleplayer game on any map, but I like dalian the best for it.
Have fun, it's only single shot scoped in (sorry, trying to figure that out) but you can switch it to full auto when not zoomed in.
Same with pistol, treat it like any other gun with fire modes, it does enough damage to blow up a vodnik in one shot. It's not anti armor, however the m24 is.
When using the m24 close range, you will die. It shoots artillery which will kill you and your teammates if you're not careful. Use the pistol within 30ft.
