Ok with all the rumours abound about what or not that 1.3 is going to bring ...I thought it would be good to guage other gamers reactions to the update or should I say what we know about it o far..

As for me I am going to wait and see what the general opinion of this patch is

if it totally Fubars my BF2 up .. I'm gonna wipe HDD & start again anyhow as my Rig aint playing quite like it outta at moment. I'm on a GF-7800GT playing on Min graphics as jerks like a mofo otherwise. All other games fine.. but !! Ahh wotever.

yes ive seen old version servers with the ranked flags on it. they aren't supposed to be ranked, and i don't know why gamespy's master server cant instantly flag these incorrect version servers and then remove their ranked rights, but it doesn't. they have to be reported to bfroe. but yeah, you can find ranked servers on old patches. Hell some ranked servers are still running dolphin diving.

I'll get it. I have gotten all of them as soon as they were available and have had no problems... ever.

Funny thing, I read all the troubles people have with the patches and the game in general. I never have probs. I did have bad fps on warlord but I guess it depends on the server and the "verifying client data" takes a while but hardly ever any in-game probs. My system is not the greatest either. Here is what I have:

2gh AMD Athlon
1gb ram
40 gb hard drive
geforce 6800

Not the greatest but very stable. Shaders shut off and everything else on med.

After patch 1.12 BF2 has been going the wrong way. I won't be playing normal BF2 until someone makes a mod called "BF2 1.03"...

It's so boring and laggy nowadays that it's a pain to play it rather than fun

as much as i've opposed almost every patch that's come down the line i still install right away. i personally don't like having my server selection limited.

Yes but not because i want to but because its required for clan matchs, which it is screwing up. Also most servers will update thus forcing players to update too.

I will install pretty much immediately because I will want to play with the other people and on the majority of the servers. I am not opposed to change, even though I won't welcome some of them with open arms.
