Hmmm just my 2 cents worth,
Here in Australia I play competetive paintball (AXL QLD series) and one of the guys on my team helps to run a "Laser tag/skirmish" company. Thier company is outdoor woods based (have a look at www.battlefieldlive.com.au )
I have found that this "game" creates a good melting pot for us to grab new players for paintball each season however it is riddled with young kids running around in a free for or melee with no thought to team work tactics or cohesion. In saying this I agree with a couple of comments made earlier minor pain = incentive to not get hit.
I think that those guys in here discussing that laser tag is "lame or paintball for pussies" are slightly misguided. Yes it is a game designed for younger players but if this is what your business wants to attract then I believe it could work well for you.
Many indoor laser tag type of venues here in Queensland Australia are beginning to use "sup air" inflatible barricades and set up games in an identical format to what we play in the AXL (like the USA NPPL)which offers a bit of a different and competetive edge to the game.
If you want any more info on AXL format etc to see if this could help you please just email me and I will get whatever info I can to help. I can also have a chat to mates in the laser tag industry if you would like any further ideas for scenarios etc.
As for your original post on names I would suggest maybe Laser Force (This is one of the bigger comapnies here) or perhaps go for a name that steers away from the whole "laser" name like Combat Simulations or whatever.
Anyway good luck with it all and I hope you do well out of it,
Cheers
