Do you guys know if bf2 has a spectator mode?  I've looked everywhere but I could never find it.

It's not referred to as "spectator mode"... it's call free camera, not quite the same thing. Most servers have this off anyway.

Yup I noticed I could watch my teammates from 3rd person when I press 'Camera Cycle' when dead.

On some servers.

If you join a server with it enabled and you're not spawned in, hit the Space Bar and you will be in the free camera mode. It's usually disabled because clans with Teamspeak/Vent or any other Voice Com, can potentially use it as an exploit.

Ahh yes the eye in the sky mode. Popular with CS and UT2004 public servers.

spectate mode was an function available on CoD too, which i found useful just to see how some of them played.
