so... I only have the basic BF2 and I'm gonna go grab SF today.
Questions:

1) Do I have to patch SF or will it work automatically? I have the latest BF2 patch
2) Do I get weapon unlocks automatically becouse I have 12.000 something points and unlocks from BF2.

You have to Re - Patch after you install SF. And At your Rank, You Should Get Like 5 Unlocks.

General order to install BF2 with expansion and patches:

BF2
BF2:SF
BF2:EF
Latest patch

The SF expansion is in itself an own patch called 1.0

Now happy hunting with SF :-)

Ok now, so I take it I don't have to patch SF, but what about the weapons?

Play a round of SF and when the points/time from the SF maps are credited to your account you will get some nice drum rolls when you enter BFHQ and you'll be able to unlock second tier unlocks*.

*You'll need the BF2 unlock before you can unlock the SF unlock.
Example: M95 sniper rifle needs to be unlocked before you can unlock the L96 sniper rifle.

Of course you have to patch SF, read my post !

If you have the 1.22 patch installed and then installes SF you have to patch again.

No u just install SF and Patch it again with full 1.22

No just patch after you've installed SF and you're good to go.

When you install an expansion all previous patches are removed.
