For Repair, Warlord is generally a good option.

I got mine as SAS.  The advantage here is that the Insurgents tend to hold onto the TV Station for a while which presents them with numerous opportunities to blow up the SAS assets.  SAS also have an uncap, meaning you won't have to worry about spawning way off and making your way to the Palace to repair stuff.

The theory, though, can be transferred to other maps as well.  What you'll want is a map where the enemy has relatively easy access to your commander assets.  Then, you just need to hope for a SpecOps with a big desire to blow your commander assets up.

You'll want a relatively slow server.  Maybe 32 players tops on a large map.  There's at least a handful of 24 player servers out there as well as some 16's and 20's, last I recall.  Slower ticket drain means longer rounds which gives you more time to get the badge.

Hand around the armor in a vehicle and repair them.  Whenever assets get blown up, head back and repair them while sitting in the vehicle.  At that point, you could probably hang near the uncap so you can quickly jump in to repair the assets when they're blown up.

Doing exactly this, I ended up with 15 or so repair points just by repairing assets.  I was an Engineer maybe half the round.  I'd have easily gotten Expert had I met the qualifications for it.

I've had 17 repair points on Ghost Town. Some asshole Spec-op kept blowing up assets while i was tank whoreing as engineer. I figured id get a few repairs long as i was around but he kept coming back and half the time in game was spent repairing.

Are we sure they're lowering all badge requirements or just the expert badges?

Only thing I heard was that they lowered the time to get service medals and whatnot.

I got recently got vet engineer by repairing the hell out of my teams vehicles and assets on karkand. I basicly hopped in armor in the second seat and hopped out and started wrenching when it got damaged. When there was no armor to hitch a ride to the front lines, i got a jeep and parked it behind a friendly tank that was taking fire to autorepair it. I basicly drove/ran around the map fixing vehicles and commander assets. I got it with about 180 tickets left on a 64 player server where the game just started so there were probably about 15-20 guys on.

Shoot dood. The server I was on to get my expt repair wasnt hard at all to get. Just 10 people alot of spec ops and jets bombing the commanders stuff. REpaired it and they would destroy it. We ended up loosing though.

Got Expert Explosives and Engineer, was going for First Aid but I hear they might be extending the hours to 100 in the new patch.
For both badges try either Warlord or Karkand.
Engineer seemed easier to me to repair the Arty UAV etc,in a vehicle namely the APC well quicker anyhow, need to have a spec opp determined to keep blowing them up in fact a whole squad of them, ended up going round in circles.
Explosives Jihaded,AT,d a Clay-whored.
You need the right set of circumstances ie tickets, people, time, and suddenly you'll get it.
Certainly if they lower the req's it will help.

Those who say the expert badges are easy to get, must not remember trying to get them.

I still need time to qual for Expert Repair, but the vet took me several months!!

I was in the zone when I got my expert Explosive, and I earned mine.  I went to a  server that allowed 24 ppl on a 64 player map (usually called HIGH POINT servers) and snuck up on armor.  It was not easy, but it was do-able!!

Ok no one is lowering shit. If I were you guys I would not believe everything that is written by anyone except for EA. Someone on TotalBF2 played a joke on everyone and all of a sudden EA is lowering shit. I would wait until they post this shit on their front bf2 page just like the medals for Special forces and such and then go around saying that the requirements are lowered. But from what I have read, first those requirements do not mean shit, second I do not think EA is retarded enough to fuck up the game completely. Although it is EA.

WTF you have got 25 repair points, while Insurgents have lost 30 tickets... which means at that rate you shoudl get 250 repairs that round. IDK but that seems a little BS if you know what i mean.

Getting the Vet badge should not be too hard.
It may take some time and good luck but not all that tricky.
Expert is another whole thing all together, I have never even got close to 25 repair points!

But advice for the Vet badge is as follows.

There are three important factors,
1. Lots of things to repair.
2. Enough time for them to be damaged and repaired again.
3. Getting the points.

1. Any map where there is a constant attack on commad assets will provide enough potential points for you, or you need an armour heavy map. I would suggest Songhua above all other maps for the following reasons, there are no jets or attack choppers and plenty of armour.

2. 64 player maps with 20 or less people on them are the places for long rounds. 02:00 is a good time to find servers like this! Note that if you are playing a head-on game rather than an assault you will want the flags to be as even as possible so that your time is not wasted by ticket bleed.

3.1. If you are planning to get the repair points on commad assets then there are a few tricks to help you. Get a DVP or FAV to sit in [never use armour or AA], while the repair is not as quick it is possible to repair multiple assets and the repair aura never runs out like your wrench can. The transport will give you other advantages, these include an escape option if you get in a fire fight you cant win, and once you repair everything and are waiting for them to be blown up you can drive off to a nearby tree to hide [note if you stay in the drivers seat enemy jets will be able to lock onto you, if get out of the vehicle the enemy will see the empty vehicle on the map, if you take position 2 you should not have either of these issues]. One last point on repairing command assets, the supply create is your enemy! With luck the commander will not drop them if you're around but some commanders will drop them anyway as you can only do one thing at a time and then need that scan and UAV now! If he does you can crush them with your jeep or blow them up with a grenade. If in a jeep you can drive up to an asset and wait until it is not destroyed then move on so all the assets are up, then go round and get the points. If an asset has 1% or 100% make no difference to how it works and that is all the commander cares about

3.2. If you want to try the armour option on Songhua you will need some help. You said that you were in a clan, now is the time to call in the troops. You should only need two other people [a third as the commander never hurns!]. Get everyone to go as engineer, get in those APC's and stick together. 3 APC engineers can take a huge beating and get though it if you stick together. If one of you gets blown up try to respawn at the location where the APC spawns, or anywhere that the is currently an empty APC, when you are all back in APC's get back together!
I know I've said it a load of times but on your own a single AT troop can ruin your day, together you should flying though enemy! You whole post was not about winning rounds but getting repair points, and you only get those by sticking together!

I hope this help you out.

Is this what Jesus died for???

Besides, I think that it´s much more fun to play the game and suddenly get a medal/ribbon, it´s something´ that really can save the day!

What´s the point of playing the game with an attitude like: "Today I´m only gonna go choppering around, I need like 50 kills or so to get some shit"
These geeks do anything to get the vehicle they want, so they snipe people out of the chopper, flies the happy unsuspecting gunner to the map border resulting in the gunners death so that this ego cheese-fuck can go solo on the other team, which will give him lousy points and the whole team will suffer because of  this testicle-face!!!!
Someone was TK:d, the other got minus points cause this retarded "I´m a captain so I can do what i want" dick-face to a guy didn´t  trust the team and that makes many of us mad!!!

Or these Brontosaurus anal muscles in Karkand who revives you again and again and again when you are in the line of fire from a vodnik or something etc, etc, etc... I HATE THEM SO MUCH!!!!!

Whats the point with BF2 if you don´t work in teams, It´s the ONLY way the so called noobs can learn new useful things about the game in a fun and proper way...The way gaming should be BTW, i don't startup my computer to get pissed off on the whole world, I wanna have fun for a while, what´s the problem with that, huh???

And besides, it really hurts your stats if you just try to get a certain type of medal a whole round/day/week.. not to mention the team who would have been saved if you had done something else than tried to run against 5 guys with a package of C4 in your hand when the last flag was being capped....

Äh, vitut... I could go on with this the whole evening but I hope you get my point, or at least some of it...

Don´t go for the medals, take them when it´s the right momenr....
And when is this moment???

You will see.....Oh yes, you will see........Vote Quimby!!!!
