- Service Medal Requirements Reduced.
great find +1 for telling me i have some medal on my way
so if the requirement for the SAS service medal is 50 hours what will it be for the ribbons. I already have the SAS and Insurgent ribbons.
Thanks for the update soldier, I should have two medals very soon I guess, SPETZ and USMC! (Happy){DsM}SongofWar[BoC] wrote:

It looks to be 50 hours AS THAT ARMY, not 50 hours in theatre as the ribbons are.enkur wrote:

He is not a soldier. None of you are soldiers. You all play a video game. the REAL soldiers are in Iraq right now, risking their lives so you all can play bf2 all day.Citizen One wrote:

Darn ..... could have evened them out a tad more, 50 hours ? .... what a laugh, 150 or 200 would have been just fine ..........

I'll be getting the Navy Cross and quite close to Golden Schmitar (sp?). 100 hours is about right for a service medal, and yay for 50 hours for SF and EU medals. And double yay for North American Service Ribbon.
i got my SAS service medal today, i have 98 hours as SAS, 155 hours in theatre, and 234 wins, how does that work?
(not really complaining, im happy for the award, but anyway...)

What's well said about it? I said it was just a game, with FAKE soldiers, and yet he says it is just a game, and all of a sudden it is well said? Sweet. Oh yeah, iddiot who gave me negative karma here, it's "You're a prick" not "your".Superslim wrote:

douchebag
also...are they just changing the time requirement or are they doing away with the win requirement as well? from what that says it looks like we still might have the win requirement (ie, 500 wins for navy cross)
it would make more sense for them to change it to simply 100 hours and remove the win requirement (since 500 wins takes about 250 hours anyway) but that link didn't say so, perhaps poorly worded by EA
When did I think I was a Psycho? Yes, it is my name for BF2, but I don't think i am one, unlike all of u. I gurantee u, some here think they can go to iraq and pwnd those ub3r n00bs with there 1337 skillz in bf2. lmaostrangelove wrote:

Uhh..very nice, now getting back to the subject at hand...
I now meet the Golden Scimitar and Navy Cross time requirements very easily, but if I had known I would have needed more WINS to get those damn things...argh! Same goes for the SF medals, if you only need 50 hours but 250 wins, I suspect it'll take most people longer than 50 hours to get them. Even a win-loss ratio of 3:1 means that you'll need to play 8 rounds an hour to get them within 250.
All in all though I'm quite happy. But as someone mentioned a bit earlier, will EA fix their coding for the "broken" awards--the SF ribbons that were coded out due to bugginess, the un-earnable Vet & Expert Tactical Support Badge, etc? Grr...
