I use a joystick and it obviousley works better as im a bit of a rookie in the jet and ive had a 41-0 round before.
I'd be a lot more impressed if you had gotten that score in any jet other than the J-10 -- especially on Wake Island. How many times did you strafe the carrier?washow wrote:

Yea sometimes. usually it just a way to get to the other end of the map quicker and cap flags.

I did the whole keyboard and keyboard thing... and that got old but it was very effective. Hence why my jet kd ratio blows so much ass.
Finally got a joystick, nice and cheap saitek st90 14 bucks, no twist action, still using wasd for throttle and rudder. Got sick of having a sore left hand and decided to step my game up.
This joystick has a lot of bugs but once you iron them out pretty much its butter I can perform almost 60 functions at the tip of my hands using the joystick.
chat, eject, parachute, hat view, map resize, map window, talk to the commander, open up the main radio window and spot an enemy while im flying. There is just a lot you can do With this joystick its amazing, and the trottle helps you hover cap flags in a helicopter or pull off some crazy ass stunts that you cannot pull off with a mouse. Its just not accurate enough.
The only benefiit a mouse will give you over a joystick is that you can fire rockets in a helicopter more in a more stable focused pattern.
But 100 dollars is quite excessive.

Personal sujestion try both see how you get on and which ever you think is easy to use use that.

Too bad this isn't DC, where you couldn't even get away with flying anything without a joystick.

I fly with one of those Logitech wireless joysticks. It sucks when it isn't on and you jump in a jet, and I suspect that I don't turn as fast as some people, but I'm a karkand whore so it doesn't matter.
