Battle of the weapons - Shotguns

I thought I might make a tourney of the weapons,

^ BF2 unlocks
^SF unlocks

And it will start with the shotgun unlocks, then after all of the bf2 unlocks, it will go to sf, then a subfinals then the finals until... we have the fav(best?) weapon of all the people on the boards.

Here is the layout so far (subject to changes):

Jackhammer - DAO-12
G3 - L85A1
PKM - M95
G36C - SF weapon oddity

F2000 - G36E
P-90 - MG7
MG36 - L96A1

No reg. weapons, sorry

This is the preliminaries. Please vote.

I voted Dao. The Jackhammer eats goes through much ammo too quickly. The Dao is not much better but it has 12 shots compared to 7.

IMO, DAO-12 for this poll

MK - 300 RPM. Reload time 5. Draw time 1.5. 7 shots per magazine, with only 5 magazines. 4 recoil. 8x15.

Dao - No RPM. Reload time 0.575 + 0.625n. Draw time 0.8. 12 shots per magazine, with 60 more shots. 3 recoil. 8x12.

I posted some info here so you don't need to spend time looking for it. I see that the DAO is faster shots, faster reload, faster draw, more shots, less recoil, but less damage. DAO all the way..

Definitely the DAO.The Jackhammer is by far the worst shotgun in the game.

or are u just going off of weapon types
and if u are doing that
it should be PKM and MG36 and M95 and L96A1 not PKM-M95 and MG36-L96A1

All of this jackhammer hating, I like it, more than the dao. I dont know, lol, it is faster and takes less time to reload, team up with a support in a close space and there is ownage.

The dao is good for the rocket launcher it gets though.

You can shoot faster with the DAO, and have more control over the ROF because it's semi-auto. You also get 12 shots, which means you have more of a chance against multiple enemies - you'd be very lucky to kill more than two people with a single jackhammer clip.

Plus, you can reload the DAO shell-by-shell, which conserves ammo a lot better than the Jackhammer. Always a dilemma... do you increase your chance of survival by reloading when you're down to less than 5 shells, or do you conserve ammo by not wasting the half-full mags? Murphy's Law sees to it that no matter what happens, you'll run out just as a PKM whore casually lays down in front of you...

DAO kicks ass!!! The perfect squad killer. Just aim high. Devastating Assault Ownage!!!...

Ton's of ammo. No Support backup required, save for armor killing. Medic backup would be best.

It wasx hard to decide, but I hear alot of the "PKM sniping", hard to get the two together, and yes, I am trying, not to well, to go off weapon types.

Another thing, I was going with just the vanilla unlocks vs. the sf unlocks, so it was hard to do it.

with 230 plus hours as engineer i know a thing or two about the jackhammer. not nearly as good as dao. DAO >Jackhammer. Used to love it but now i think that both DAO and Pumpaction are better.

dao because of the large clip 8 shot is just not enough - then again the pump just owns two shots max within close range great for killing those knife killers sneaking up behind a load of buck shot in the face definatly puts paid to that idea :-)

OK, this is for however de-karma'ed me.

Jackhammer and DAO are for different classes, true, but they are both shotguns. As with the L85A1 and G3, thry are both assault.

Now for the other two, PKM and M95 and the G36C, they are oddities, my bad. Same goes for the Special Forces.
Think about it now, same type, maybe not the same kit, but same type.
