Well, you know what I really find fun is not being in a clan, but joining a squad of people you don't even know. I was on Freddyhouse SF server and was in a squad that was using voice with somone from the UK, Germany, and Texas. That to me is the coolest part of BF2.[netsas]knight wrote:

Clans for me is haveing a laff and a joke on teamspeak talking about complete bollocks most of the time and taking the piss.
I just hope when you play ,you have fun and enjoy the game as much as you can .And dont worry about the clans out there who think they are the best .

Yeah of course it's damn powerful but it IS beta and it IS buggy. For example [im speaking of v02 jan/04 I think] after you textured the map the first time you have to copy the color and detailmaps up from map\editor\* to map\*. or if you wanna place the UAV/SAT at first you have to mess around with the editor's config files and add these first.badhq wrote:

also don't forget that the editor doesn't package maps correctly.
However, this took me 2 days nonstop mapping to understand how all the editor's components and bf2 at all works. If I hadn't had programming expierience before I wouldn't have learned this editor that fast.
To all guys who want to map: If you have NEVER done any programming or whatever before, this editor will be the hell for you, but don't give up! Once you finished it, be proud of your new beautiful map and then you can say "I 0wn y00 all with my üb3r map". [I'm trying to make more people interested mapping.]
