Every time I got into a chopper as a pilot (not happened to me while gunning) I had massive lag.

So I searched the forums and tried everything...

for example:
Boris mentioned

pb_sleep 500 ( this command will Change your PB doing its thing to every 500 secs instead of every 20 secs )
then type in
pb_writecfg ( this will save your PB settings so you don't have to type in every time you go in to server )

but I was unlucky; still lag...

So for other reasons I got a new sound card and last night the lag was gone.

My tip therefore is if you have lag  try different sound settings... (it's cheap and you do not have to turn down you video settings)

However I can not tell you if it was caused by the sound setting, my sound card or the drivers for the sound card... if you know better or have tested different settings let me know...

I’ll "show off" my PC specs if requested but it's good....

edit typos....

You wrote that in the SF section, so I suppose you to have had the probs only on SF maps..
And I experience sth similar to what you described, but I have these "pilot lags" only at day, not at night..
Maybe caused by the Internet traffic, anyway I play choppers only at night now..
Not good for my "time-in-sleep-mode-stat"..

Well i used to have lag day(bad) and night(some lag) but now after the change i only have light lag during the day. I guess there is less trafic between Norway and Germany at night....
