I recently, actually on the 16th of april, for some reason I could not connect to an online server, I would try then it would crash to desktop.

So I uninstalled, BAD IDEA, and now I cannot reinstall.

the setup.exe will start, it will ask me what language, and go all the way up to the part where I see the BF2 pic, after instal sheild loads.

Then pic goes away and my disk drive is still spinning.

How are your other programs? Is your computer slower than normal?

You make have some type of virus. Try scanning your whole system.

You're not going to like the solution I have, but I think you should completely reformat, search google for Ultimate Boot Disc and burn that to a disc before you do. Re-install your Operating system, Re-Install everything, Use the Ultimate Boot Disc CD, that will help alot, and then download free Anti-Virus programs such as Ad-Aware, Spybot Search and Destroy, and AVG - Free.
Eh, formatting should be the very last resort.

it is, the restore didn't work, I was thinking of doing it too, I might try on Saturday.

The bf2 disc wouldn't ask me to install if it was installed, the files are deleted.

Go to battlefield2.com and click on support and search Uninstall and it will tell you what to do. I had this same problem a while back.
