No attacking on non-cap base???

The Gulf of Oman server I played yestoday on has one rule on the info: No attack on the non-cap base.

So I followed the rule. I was in the USMC jet. Every time I flow over the MEC airbase, I didn't shot or bomb. But there was the guy (most like to be the admin) in the Stinger in the airbase always trying to shot me down while I didn't make any attack. After serveral times being shot down by him, I had enough, took him out with a couple of shots.

Immediately I got kicked. Just what kind of rules doesn't allow you to self-defence?? I don't like to fly over their airbase, but they only had Hotel flag left. That admin is just too stupid to understand?

EXACTLY! I mean the stinger wont even pick up a jet Around the hotel. You fly by drop your bombs and hook a hard left. If its there rule, Then its there rule. If you didnt like it you Hit the ESC key and go away.

And what skill does it take to sit in an APC and shoot people as they pop out of thin air and have that bewildered second before they know where they are?

And don't get me started on planes/helis or arty on uncap, that's even worse..

cause their jets were flying over the airbase to refill and repair. If I don't follow their jets' tail, they will be after my tail.

I hear what your saying on that, but I think I will always subscribe to the 'adapt & overcome' theory for BF2. Which basically means put up or shutup, not make rules limiting attacks to protect team Rambo. In most cases when the uncap is gettin torn to bits its because the team is a bumcha morons. In these situations, I leave and look for another server. Besides, if they cant put up a fight, they deserve to be slaughtered. Then either they will practice or just go play something else, thus leaving people who can play. Besides, in most cases it doesnt take a lot to secure an uncap from enemy attacks, but i suppose that requires teamwork.

I do agree shooting people in an apc when they spawn is boring / lame. Who the hell likes targets that dont move?

that is what happens at the LRRP admined servers, one guys, i nailed a few times in my J-10 (the rules in WAKE were nothing, no NON-CPA BASE RAPING rules) i kill him on the carrier like 3 times and while he is in a jet as well and guess what? instant kick, ohh yes, instant, it was like he had the mouse right on top of it when i killed him..........so i came back, this time he was boating a lot, i took him down again and again and again, kicked again

because Hotel was the only flag they had left, so he wanted to attack there... and Hotel is in range of the stinger (well at least in the area)

There is nothing wrong with killing people in their spawn. It serves them right for not being able to hold a flag. I laugh at the servers that have the non-cap killing because that is saying that your server is set up for the newbie players. If you are getting raped, it's probably your fault. Adapt and overcome.

Yea i dont play on servers with the "dont attack non capable's".. basicly it says "Hi were a nub server join us". They need special rules so fuck um they dont get the good competition. like it or not its true. Saying that someone cant attack you because your in a "safe zone" is a joke.

Yes, I was at the Moongamers server. Because of the rule of no attack on non-cap base, most of the MEC guys were just waiting at the airbase for jets and heli instead of fighting around to capature flags.

really there should be a serverside option like what used to be on BF1942 DC mod where if you were in the enemy base for any set time you start to lose health. (I think this is where that rule comes from tbh, cos DC was great and people where used to respecting the uncaps)
I personally think planes are fair game, there is air defence ffs!
Tanks on the runway killing people as they spawn or run for vehicles is lame though, and the DC type thing would be good for that.
Only thing is then, what about the Commander Assets/spec ops??

Whatever will we do when we don't have any options other than the ones DICE gave us? You spawn and get killed - what is there to adapt to?

And where is the fun for the winning team? It's just plain stupid. And the only way to help the situation DICE put us in is to say that Uncaps are off limits. Let the enemy have a fighting chance, then you can kill him and it will atleast be a kill that mattered, not a freebie.

So if you whine about servers with no uncap-rule and say it's for newbies, I'll whine that servers that don't have this rule is for people who don't have the ability to shoot at targets that can defend themselves.
Don't be so insecure about yourselves that you need to spawnrape, get some skills...

/pwnt lol-Lame are admins that use their abilities to help get ribbons. Way to stat pad.

We have a non non-cap rape rule which pertains only to people, vehicle, etc. We allow arty, air attacks, etc. You can send a few spec ops in to C4 and possibly steal some armor but then you have to get moving. Cheap kills are for n00bs who can't fight.

hahaha wow.. check it out man if your team gets pushed all the way to your uncapable, your team sucks. sad but true. You have the ability to defend yourself from the begining and fucked up. Now you can either try and defend or just not spawn. But saying things like

What were you guys doing to get yourself in that predicament? most likely not capping enough flags. and saying get some skills has to be a joke. guess what brother your teams lack of skills got you pushed all the way back. your teams lack of skills lost you all the flags.. your teams lack of skills allows the other team to spawn kill you. Saying that the other team has to get skills when your the ones being pushed all the way back is funny as shit.. basicly your saying.. "We suck and need a safe zone please dont kill us over here."
