I've just updated my game to 1.22, but I have a problem.
The game starts just like it always has, but after I log in and the screen with "connecting to account server" comes up, nothing happens. The little 2 is spinning away. Then the arrow comes. "Wonderful" I think to myself, "just a coulple more seconds". But the seconds turn to minutes. And more minutes. Nothing happens. The music is playing, so it isn't completely frozen. What's up!? Please help!

I find everytime I update BF2 the firewall blocks it coz of the file changes, just make sure BF2 is in the allowed programs for the firewall and give it another go.

Have also encountered this after every patch, have to hit Alt+Tab to find a message to allow or deny this connection ! Try that one pal ?

True, always when patching you have to set the .exe file that starts BF2 to your allowed list, as your firewall always assumes that it is a new program with the new patch.
I need around tree fiddy.

Got the same problem when i updated BF2
the firewall doesnt reconize it because the .exe file has been editted/changed so the firewall thinks its a whole new program trying to connect on the internet.

to make sure its ur firewall just disable the bloody thing and try to connect again in BF2 , if it works then look in ur firewall for the BF2 settings and allow it on all ports .

hope this solves ur problem m8
