yo people i just got a macbook pro today. with the new (free) bootcamp software, macs can run windows xp. i am running everysetting on high and its great

Yes Linux can be installed on it. The MBP makes a wonderful Linux platform. I do not know of the current state of ATI drivers on there... but I do hope that it's enough to get some good performance out of them.Maj.Do wrote:

Nope. The heart of OS X is the Darwin kernel, where it is based from BSD and Mach kernel. It's a completely different platform altogether even though interfacing with it is only fairly different from Linux.the_heart_attack wrote:
