yo people i just got a macbook pro today. with the new (free) bootcamp software, macs can run windows xp. i am running everysetting on high and its great
intel macs are the shit!

dude, i have one too. : ), bf2 can run on high with a x1600? i didnt know.
i wonder if linux can somehow be installed on it

Yes Linux can be installed on it. The MBP makes a wonderful Linux platform. I do not know of the current state of ATI drivers on there... but I do hope that it's enough to get some good performance out of them.

Nope. The heart of OS X is the Darwin kernel, where it is based from BSD and Mach kernel. It's a completely different platform altogether even though interfacing with it is only fairly different from Linux.

this thing is awesome. the dell laptops are usually huge and clunky, but the macbook is damn fine.

I didn't say the MacBook sucked, I wished I had one with Boot Camp! Replaces my desktop if I had one (I will get the weaker Core Solo and wait for Intel Merom to come out in Fall if I would get one and I would leave AMD for it) and play BF2 on it fine! I wished it came with the option for Nvidia graphics but I wouldn't mind a midranged mobile ATI.
