Chuy, I reckon that a certain ammount of posts must be attained before karma can be used, and implement a system of telling people who karma +/-'d them

On a serious note, maybe this in conjunction with another stat (like number of posts or topics started) could be implemented as a ranking system. I've seen this done on a few other forums (but none of them as active, popular, or well admined as this one, of course*).

*I'm not trying to kiss ass to get karma'd! Whatever gives you that idea?

Being serious for a moment I reakon this will do one of two things, it will either attempt to bring a new level of maturity to the forums instead of people just stating their own opinion and disregarding everyone elses.

or more likely it'll descend into an anarcy of people giving everyone -1.
