someone that uses it once in a while to protect a flag or something is allright but the one that always walks with it and gets most of his kills using the gl is a noob...

anyway I find that weapon overpowered but still the game has been made like that, it would be stupid to modify it now... so lets adapt

Aye I hate it but it's addictive, I'm deadly accurate with the thing and ALWAYS use splash kills in close range...I remember shooting it at my feet and then hitting myself for being a noob but I don die, the 3 second timing thing or w/e it is gives me enough time to run back and watch the other guys die lolz

Noobtube described the grenade launcher pre 1.2 when it was an epidemic. Now people don't use it because it requires aiming. I still use it and people still call me a noobtuber. Go figure.

i recall from CS a noob tube is a shotgun... and grenade launcher takes skill (except close range) i was on karkand at the street near US spawn and HOTEL and nailed a sniper on the 'over-populated' cliff, not all that difficult, the little hash marks mean stuff ya know

I love the way EA listens to whiny little brats and nerfs stuff that the "community" (i.e., those brats) want nerfed...AND THEN THEY STILL COMPLAIN ABOUT IT.  On the few occasions that I don't use the G3 as Assault, you better believe I use the nade launcher.  And it's about a 25% chance per nade launcher kill that I'll get some derisive comment about being a n00b t00ber.

I mean, get over it.  It takes skill to use now.

The Eryx/SRAW is my new n00b t00b though.  Rocket launcher snipes FTW!

Well said, Lamsey! I never 'noob-tubed', as some say, but I only really use the F2000 because of it being a great weapon by itself. Personally, I believe that the F2000 should lose it's grenade launcher, and have a tear-gas launcher instead. It is changeable without instruments, so I don't see why not. The flash-bang made its way over from Special Forces, so why can't the tear-gas? It would make the F2000 a hard choice to make against the G3...

I Find the most difficult gun to use is the noobtoober so I dont bother with it even though its my most accurate weapon. I hate the bloody thing.

I don't understand why people hate it so much.. I mean, I can understadn why people hate it when a noob just uses the M203 as his primary weapon, but when you're using it as a regular nade, the way nades are supposed to function, I think that's alright

I think I hated it more when kids would jump and shoot.  That was so easy back in the day... now it requires tallent at longer range.  Shorter range I'd still call it a tube.

on a lighter note while I was typing that I almost choked on a goldfish... I'm not happy.

i don't play sniper for the claymores
a support kit doesn't play support for the ammo bags
and neither an anti-tank or support play it for the "increased armor"

the whole point of the increased armor for assault is so that it can fight in close range and use the grenade launcher. i really can't believe so many people have such a fundamental misunderstanding of something so obvious. people who say "nade launcher is ok as long as you don't use it as the main weapon" are making a ridiculous point. as if there is some appropriate ratio of tube/rifle that is appropriate anyways, how totally absurd. if somebody has a high k/d ratio with the grenade launcher then they are using it appropriately.

I believe this to be a misunderstanding. The Assualt class has the armor to do what it is supposed to do - assault! They attack, and to attack successfully you need to stay alive the longest, so you get body armor - simple as that. Also, when the Assault kit is used right, it can defeat all others. It's powerful weapons, it's armor, it's versatility - which makes it possibly the best kit for basically infantry 'pounding'. Many people don't play this kit and decide to specialise instead. However, I take offence in you saying that you don't play support for the ammo bags. Ever heard of the MP7, P90 or PP-19? They need ammo! And so do many others! It is a vital part of your team progressing! Which is why I played it so much when I started playing the game! The weapons weren't great back then, but I learned to go along and won some firefights (close ones at that) which now Support could be expected to win. Too many Support players think they can rush nowadays. But you have to hold back and be quiet and watchful of where your team needs the ammo, where they need the cover but not necessarily the kills. It took me a long time to learn this with the Support kit, and so is reflected in my K/D ratio of 1.14. I prefer the Medic kit now, but this shows the progress we make in the game after we have found our feet. It shows how we are human. It shows humanity's progression which we all experience throughout ourlives, even if some of us may be 'ignorant' to it, or the change may be so small in its progression that we may simply not notice this. I don't mean to slam or irritate you, but this is what I feel.
