ok who likes Choppers...ever does so why not have attack choppers on karkand...

1. Good to camp flags and the streets from tanks and troops

2. You would need a Stinger on-top of the square

3. Attack choppers could only be used on 64

4. Each team would get 1 chopper (1 at the Factory and 1 at the Gas Station

Karkand is a work of art as it is, and provides variety in the form of a map with no airpower. Just practice your infantry/armor tactics, or go to a wake/sharqi 24/7 server.

imo, the only kinds of maps needed now are one for naval forces, and one for infantry/transport only.

Karkand - Helo - Tank = many happy players
anyway i think helos would ruin the map, tanks are ok but they require mines (or a large group of anti-tank soldiers) to destroy

It would be tough to shoot people on the very small roads in Karkand. I think a lot of people would run into buildings.

Amen to that!

Maybe if EA would stop listening to the cry baby chopper pilots they would realize this. Everytime someone comes up with any idea on another way to take them down the pilots come out of the woodwork crying. They are too dominating on almost all the maps. Karkland is the most poplular map in BF2, i'm not saying its everyones favorit but it is the most popular. hummm wonder if that could be for the lack of choppers? I think sharqi is a cool city map also but you do have to contend with the choppers. Jets are even worse for those that really know how to fly them its almost impossible to shoot them down. They are so fast they vanish from AA targeting before you can even fire.

I've already tested Karkand with helos (in Allied Intent mod) with China against MEC : cause of the fog, flying high is quite hazardous; better hedgehop a bit, dodging buildings, the Mi-28 Havok is deadlier than in Sharqi, transports choppers make flag captures easier. Still fun, though. Jets ? I wonder where there's enough place to take-off, except for the F-35B, but with this weird fog, and the map' size, flying an aircraft is pure suicide ! Let Karkand as it is now, there's nothing to change, except learning to people that the Hotel flag is nothing more than a slaughter area.

Karkand is already a slaughterhouse as it is, ever been at the right US spawn house, seen all the action, and then you see artillery blow everyone to hell? Now picture that but right after the arty is finished and people rerush the no mans land before the hotel, a plane and heli come to drop bombs and TV missiles everywhere, not to mention the huge gun on the heli. Karkand would be even better if it was just Infantry and transport vehicles, just lots of them. Humvees are the coolest looking things in BF2. Plus with only infantry, each squad could have its own Hummvee and therefore be able to work very effectively and make it a very fast paced game. Everyone would have a faster reaction time to lost flags and just being able to get around the map in general. Engineers would be popular for once, and AT could get some kills since they wouldnt need 45 missiles to kill armor. Just a thought....
